< Psalms 98 >

1 A Psalm. O sing to the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
“A psalm.” Oh sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done wonderful things: his right hand and his holy arm have gotten him the victory.
2 The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shown in the sight of the heathen.
The Lord hath made known his salvation: before the eyes of the nations hath he revealed his righteousness.
3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth towards the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
He hath remembered his kindness and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
Shout joyfully unto the Lord, all the lands: break forth, and rejoice, and sing praises.
5 Sing to the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
Sing praises unto the Lord with the harp, —with the harp, and the voice of psalmody.
6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.
With trumpets and the sound of cornet shout joyfully before the King, the Lord.
7 Let the sea roar, and the fullness of it, the world, and they that dwell therein.
Let the sea roar, with all that filleth it; the world, with those that dwell therein.
8 Let the floods clap [their] hands: let the hills be joyful together
Let the rivers clap their hands; let the mountains be joyful together,
9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness will he judge the world, and the people with equity.
Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: he will judge the world with righteousness, and people with equity.
