Psalms 94
1 O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, show thyself.
Бог помсти — Господь, Бог помсти з'явився, —
2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
піднеси́ся, о Су́дде землі, бундю́чним запла́ту віддай!
3 LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
Аж доки безбожні, о Господи, аж доки безбожні втіша́тися будуть?
4 [How long] shall they utter [and] speak hard things? [and] all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
Доки бу́дуть верзти́, говорити бундю́чно, доки будуть пиша́тись злочинці?
5 They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thy heritage.
Вони тиснуть наро́д Твій, о Господи, а спадок Твій вони му́чать.
6 They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
Вдову́ та чужи́нця вбивають вони, і мордують сирі́т
7 Yet they say, The LORD will not see, neither will the God of Jacob regard [it].
та й говорять: „Не бачить Господь, і не завва́жить Бог Яковів“.
8 Understand, ye brutish among the people: and [ye] fools, when will ye be wise?
Зрозумійте це ви, нерозумні в наро́ді, а ви, убогі на розум, коли набере́теся глу́зду?
9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
Хіба Той, що ухо щепи́в, — чи Він не почує? Хіба Той, що око створи́в, — чи Він не побачить?
10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall he not correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, [shall he not know]?
Хіба Той, що карає наро́ди, — чи Він не скарта́є, Він, що навчає люди́ну знання́?
11 The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they [are] vanity.
Господь знає всі лю́дські думки́, що марно́та вони!
12 Blessed [is] the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;
Блаженний той муж, що його Ти караєш, о Господи, і з Зако́ну Свого навчаєш його́,
13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
щоб його заспоко́їти від лиходе́ння, аж поки не ви́копана буде яма безбожному,
14 For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
бо Господь не опустить наро́ду Свого, а спа́дку Свого не поли́шить,
15 But judgment shall return to righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
бо до праведности суд пове́рнеться, а за ним — всі невинного серця!
16 Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? [or] who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
Хто встане зо мною навпроти злости́вих, хто встане зо мною навпроти злочинців?
17 Unless the LORD [had been] my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
Коли б не Господь мені в поміч, то душа моя тро́хи була́ б не лягла́ в царство смерти!
18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.
Коли я кажу: „Похитнулась нога моя“, то, Господи, милість Твоя підпира́є мене!
19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me, thy comforts delight my soul.
Коли мої думки́ болючі в нутрі́ моїм мно́жаться, то розради Твої веселять мою душу!
20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
Чи престол беззако́ния з Тобою з'єдна́ється, той, що гріх учиняє над право?
21 They assemble themselves against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
Збираються проти душі справедли́вого, і чисту кров винува́тять.
22 But the LORD is my defense; and my God [is] the rock of my refuge.
І Господь став для мене тверди́нею, і мій Бог став за скелю приту́лку мого,
23 And he will bring upon them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness; [yes], the LORD our God will cut them off.
і Він їхню силу на них повернув, і злом їхнім їх нищить, їх нищить Господь, Бог наш!
