< Psalms 90 >
1 A prayer of Moses the man of God. LORD, thou hast been our dwelling-place in all generations.
Lamo mar Musa ngʼat Nyasaye. Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, isebedo kar dak marwa nyaka nene e tienge duto.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou [art] God.
Kane pok gode obetie kata kane pok ichweyo piny gi ji modak e iye, to isebedo ka in Nyasaye nyaka nene kendo manyaka chiengʼ.
3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
Idwoko dhano e lowo, kiwacho niya, “Doguru e lowo un koth dhano.”
4 For a thousand years in thy sight [are but] as yesterday when it is past, and [as] a watch in the night.
Nimar higni alufu achiel e nyimi chalo gi odiechiengʼ manyoro mosekalo, kata gi sa mar otieno.
5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are [as] a sleep; in the morning [they are] like grass [which] groweth.
Iywoyo dhano ilalgo nono ka nindo mar tho terogi; gichalo gi lum mangʼich mar okinyi,
6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
ma kata obedo ni loth ka ngʼich gokinyi to godhiambo to ner kendo two.
7 For we are consumed by thy anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
Mirimbi tiekowa kendo kecho mikechogo kodwa bwogowa.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret [sins] in the light of thy countenance.
Iseketo richowa e nyimi, ee, richowa ma watimo lingʼ-lingʼ ineno seche duto.
9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years, as a tale [that is told].
Ndalowa kadho piyo nikech mirimbi; hikwa rumo piyo gi chir.
10 The days of our years [are] seventy years; and if by reason of strength [they are] eighty years, yet [is] their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Ndalowa en piero abiriyo kata piero aboro, ka ringrewa otegno; to kata kamano ndalogo duto opongʼ gi chandruok kod kuyo, nimar gikalo piyo, kendo gilal nono.
11 Who knoweth the power of thy anger? even according to thy fear, [so is] thy wrath.
En ngʼa mongʼeyo teko mar mirimbi? Nimar gero mari nigi teko machalo gi teko ma luori kelo.
12 So teach [us] to number [our] days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.
Omiyo puonjwa kwano ndalowa kare, mondo wabed gi chuny mariek.
13 Return, O LORD, how long? and repent thou concerning thy servants.
Ibiro siko kikecho nyaka karangʼo, yaye Jehova Nyasaye? Lokri, kech jatichni.
14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Romwa gokinyi gi herani ma ok rem, mondo wawer gi ilo kendo wabed mamor ndalowa duto.
15 Make us glad according to the days [in which] thou hast afflicted us, [and] the years [in which] we have seen evil.
Mi wabed mamor amingʼa mana kaka isemiyo waneno malit, marom gi higni ma wasenene chandruok.
16 Let thy work appear to thy servants, and thy glory to their children.
Mad tijeni nere gi jotichni, mad duongʼni nyisre ne nyithindi.
17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yes, the work of our hands establish thou it.
Mad ngʼwono mar Ruoth Nyasachwa obed kodwa; yie igurnwa tich mar lwetwa, ee gurnwa tich mar lwetwa.
