< Psalms 9 >

1 To the chief Musician upon Muthlabben, A Psalm of David. I will praise [thee], O LORD, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy wonderful works.

2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
Poeknawmhaih hoi nang ah kang hoe moe, aw Sang koek, na hmin pakoehhaih laa to ka sak han.
3 When my enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
Ka misanawk hnukbangah amlaem o let naah, na hmaa ah amtimh o moe, anghmat o.
4 For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou sattest on the throne judging right.
Ka toenghaih to nang doet haih; angraeng tangkhang nuiah nang hnut moe, katoengah lok na caek.
5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.
Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk to na thuitaek; kasae kaminawk to nam rosak moe, nihcae ih ahmin dungzan khoek to nang hmatsak boeh.
6 O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial hath perished with them.
Aw na misa amrohaih loe, boeng khoek to phak boeh: vangpuinawk to na phreak pae, nihcae panoekhaih doeh angmacae hoi nawnto amro boih boeh.
7 But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.
Toe Angraeng loe dungzan khoek to cak tih; lokcaek hanah angmah ih angraeng tangkhang to a caksak boeh.
8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.
Anih mah long hae toenghaih hoiah lokcaek ueloe, katoeng lokcaekhaih hoiah kaminawk to uk tih.
9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
Angraeng loe pacaekthlaekhaih tong kaminawk abuephaih ah om tih, raihaih atue ah doeh abuephaih ah oh.
10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

11 Sing praises to the LORD, who dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.
Zion ah kaom, Angraeng khaeah saphawhaih laa to sah oh loe, a sak ih hmuennawk to congca kaminawk khaeah thui oh.
12 When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.
Anih loe kami athii longhaih to pakuem, pahnet ai: anih loe poek pahnaemhaih hoiah qah kaminawk ih lok to pahnet ai.
13 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble [which I suffer] from them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:
Aw Angraeng, kai hae na tahmen ah; kai hnuma kaminawk ih pacaekthlaekhaih to na khen paeh loe, duekhaih khongkha thung hoiah na loisak ah:
14 That I may show forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.
to tih nahaeloe Zion canu ih khongkhanawk ah nang pakoehhaih laa to ka sah thai boih ueloe, na pahlonghaih ah anghoehaih hoiah ka om tih.
15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit [that] they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.
Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk loe angmacae mah takaeh o ih tangqom thungah krak o: angmacae mah hawk ih palok pongah angmacae ih khok to amanh o boih boeh.
16 The LORD is known [by] the judgment [which] he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. (Higgaion, Selah)

17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God. (Sheol h7585)

18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall [not] perish for ever.

19 Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.
Aw Angraeng, angthawk ah, kami mah na pazawk hmah nasoe: Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk loe na hmaa ah lokcaekhaih om nasoe.
20 Put them in fear, O LORD: [that] the nations may know themselves [to be but] men. (Selah)
