Psalms 83
1 A song, [or] Psalm of Asaph. Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
Ee Mungu, usikae kimya! usitupuuze na kustarehe, Ee Mungu.
2 For lo, thy enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
Tazama, adui zako wanafanya vurugu, na wale wakuchukiao wameinua vichwa vyao.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
Wanafanya hila juu ya watu wako na kwa pamoja kupanga njama dhidi ya wale uwalindao. Wamesema,
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from [being] a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
“Njoni na tuwaangamize wao kama taifa. Kisha jina la Israeli halitakumbukwa.”
5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee,
Wamepanga njama pamoja wakiwa na mkakati mmoja; wamefanya muungano dhidi yako.
6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
Hii inajumuisha hema za Edomu na Waishmaeli, na watu wa Moabu na Wahagari, ambao wamepanga njama pamoja nao
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Gebal, Amoni, Amaleki; pia inajumuisha Filisti na wenyeji wa Tiro.
8 Assur also is joined with them: they have helped the children of Lot. (Selah)
Ashuri pia ameshirikina nao; wanawasaidia wana wa Lutu. Serah
9 Do to them as [to] the Midianites; as [to] Sisera, as [to] Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
Ufanye kwao kama ulivyofanya kwa Midiani, kama ulivyofanya kwa Sisera na kwa Yabini kwenye Mto Kishoni.
10 [Who] perished at En-dor: they became [as] dung for the earth.
Waliangamizwa kule Endori na wakawa kama mbolea juu ya chi.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yes, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
Uvifanye vyeo vyao kama Oreb na Zeeb, na wakuu wao wote kama Zeba na Zalmuna.
12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
Wao walisema, natujimilikishe malisho ya Mungu.”
13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
Ee Mungu wangu, uwafanye kama mavumbi ya kisulisuli, kama makapi mbele ya upepo,
14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
Kama moto uteketezao msitu, na kama miali ya moto iwakayo milimani.
15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
Uwafuatie kwa tufani yako, na kuwafadhaisha kwa dhoruba yako.
16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
Uwajaze nyuso zao kwa aibu ili kwamba waweze kulitafuta jina lako, Yahwe.
17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yes, let them be put to shame, and perish:
Nao waaibishwe na kufadhaishwa milele; waangamizwe katika aibu.
18 That [men] may know that thou, whose name alone [is] JEHOVAH, [art] the most high over all the earth.
Kisha watajua kwamba ni wewe pekee, Yahwe, Uliye Juu ya nchi yote.
