< Psalms 83 >

1 A song, [or] Psalm of Asaph. Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
Rwiyo. Pisarema raAsafi. Haiwa Mwari, regai kunyarara; musanyarara, imi Mwari, musati mwiro.
2 For lo, thy enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
Tarirai kumutswa kwaitwa vavengi venyu, namasimudziro avaita misoro yavo.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
Vakarangana nounyengeri pamusoro pavanhu venyu; vanorangana pamusoro paavo vamunochengeta zvakanaka.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from [being] a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
Ivo vanoti, “Uyai, ngativaparadzei sorudzi, kuti zita raIsraeri rirove.”
5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee,
Vanorangana pamwe chete nomwoyo mumwe chete; vanoita sungano yokuzorwa nemi,
6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
matende eEdhomu nevaIshumaeri, neMoabhu navaHagari,
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Gebha, Amoni neAmareki, Firistia, navanhu veTire.
8 Assur also is joined with them: they have helped the children of Lot. (Selah)

9 Do to them as [to] the Midianites; as [to] Sisera, as [to] Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
Muvaitire sezvamakaitira vaMidhia, sezvamakaita kuna Sisera naJabhini paRwizi Kishoni,
10 [Who] perished at En-dor: they became [as] dung for the earth.
ivo vakafira paEndori uye vakava sendove pamusoro pevhu.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yes, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
Muite makurukota avo saOrebhu naZibhi, machinda avo ose saZebha naZarumuna,
12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
ivo vakati, “Handei tindotora mafuro aMwari.”
13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
Haiwa Mwari wangu, vaitei sendira, sehundi inodzingwa nemhepo.
14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
Somoto unopisa sango kana moto unoririma mugomo,
15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
saka vateverei nedutu renyu mugovavhundutsa nokutinhira wenyu.
16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
Fukidzai zviso zvavo nenyadzi kuti vanhu vagotsvaka zita renyu, imi Jehovha.
17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yes, let them be put to shame, and perish:
Ngavarambe vachinyadziswa uye vavhundutswe; ngavafire munyadzi dzavo.
18 That [men] may know that thou, whose name alone [is] JEHOVAH, [art] the most high over all the earth.
Ngavazive kuti imi, mune zita rinonzi Jehovha, ndimi moga Wokumusoro-soro ari pamusoro penyika yose.
