< Psalms 80 >
1 To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim Eduth, A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest [between] the cherubim, shine forth.
Ki he Takimuʻa ʻi he Sosanimi ʻEtuta, ko e Saame ʻa ʻAsafi. Fakafanongo ʻae Tauhi ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻa koe ʻoku ke tataki ʻa Siosefa ʻo hangē ko e fanga sipi; ʻa koe ʻoku ke ʻafio ʻi he vahaʻa ʻoe selupimi, ke ke ulo mai.
2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come [and] save us.
ʻI he ʻao ʻo ʻIfalemi mo Penisimani mo Manase ke ke ueʻi hake ho mālohi, pea hāʻele mai ʻo fakamoʻui ʻakimautolu.
3 Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
ʻE ʻOtua, ke ke toe fakatafoki ʻakimautolu, pea tuku ke ulo mai ho fofonga; pea te mau moʻui ai.
4 O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
ʻE Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ʻe fēfē hono fuoloa mo hoʻo kei houhau ki he lotu ʻa ho kakai?
5 Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
ʻOku ke fafanga ʻaki ʻakinautolu ʻae mā ʻoe loʻimata; pea ʻoku ʻange kiate kinautolu ʻae loʻimata lahi kenau inu.
6 Thou makest us a strife to our neighbors: and our enemies laugh among themselves.
ʻOku ke ngaohi ʻakimautolu ko e fekeʻikeʻiʻanga ʻo homau kaungāʻapi: pea ʻoku katakata homau ngaahi fili ʻiate kinautolu.
7 Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
ʻE ʻOtua ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ke ke toe fakatafoki ʻakimautolu, pea tuku ke ulo mai ho fofonga; pea te mau moʻui ai.
8 Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
Naʻa ke lī kituʻa ʻae hiteni; ka naʻa ke ʻomi ʻae vaine mei ʻIsipite, ʻo tō ia.
9 Thou preparedst [room] before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.
Naʻa ke fakaʻataʻatā [ʻae potu ]ʻi hono ʻao, pea naʻa ke fakaaka māʻulalo ia, pea naʻa ne fakapito ʻae fonua.
10 The hills were covered with the shade of it, and its boughs [were like] the goodly cedars.
Naʻe ʻufiʻufi ʻae ngaahi moʻunga ʻi hono malumalu, pea ko hono ngaahi vaʻa naʻe hangē ko e ngaahi sita ʻae ʻOtua.
11 She sent out her boughs to the sea, and her branches to the river.
Naʻa ne tuku atu hono ngaahi vaʻa ki he tahi, mo hono ngaahi ʻuluʻulu ki he vaitafe.
12 Why hast thou [then] broke down her hedges, so that all they who pass by the way do pluck her?
Ko e hā kuo ke hae hifo ai hono ngaahi ʻā, ke toli ia ʻekinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku ʻalu atu ʻi he hala?
13 The boar from the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
ʻOku maumauʻi ia ʻe he puaka tau mei he vao, ʻoku kai ke ʻosi ia ʻe he fanga manu kaivao.
14 Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
ʻE ʻOtua ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ʻoku mau kole kiate koe ke ke foki mai: ʻafio hifo mei he langi, ʻo vakai, mo ʻaʻahi ki he vaine ni;
15 And the vineyard which thy right hand planted, and the branch [that] thou madest strong for thyself.
Mo e ngoue vaine ʻaia kuo tō ʻe ho nima toʻomataʻu, mo e vaʻa ʻaia naʻa ke ngaohi ke mālohi maʻau.
16 [It is] burnt with fire, [it is] cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
Kuo tutu ia ʻaki ʻae afi, kuo tā hifo ia: kuo nau ʻauha ʻi he tautea ʻe ho fofonga.
17 Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man [whom] thou madest strong for thyself.
Tuku ke hili ho nima ki he tangata ʻo ho nima toʻomataʻu, ki he foha ʻoe tangata ʻaia naʻa ke fakamālohi maʻau.
18 So will we not go back from thee: revive us, and we will call upon thy name.
Pea ʻe ʻikai ai te mau foki kimui meiate koe: ke ke fakaakeake ʻakimautolu, pea temau ui ki ho huafa.
19 Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
ʻE Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ke ke toe fakatafoki ʻakimautolu, pea tuku ke ulo mai ho fofonga; pea temau moʻui ai.
