< Psalms 60 >
1 To the chief Musician upon Shushan-eduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aram-naharaim and with Aram-zobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand. O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.
Kuom jatend wer. E dwol mar “Ondanyo mar singruok.” Miktam mar Daudi. Mar puonjo. Kane okedo gi Aram-Naharaim kod Aram Zoba, kendo kane Joab odwogo mi onego jo-Edom alufu apar gariyo e Holo mar Chumbi. Yaye Nyasaye, isedagiwa mi imuomori kuomwa; isebedo ka ikecho kodwa, to koro loswa!
2 Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal its breaches; for it shaketh.
Iseyiengo piny mi ibare diere ariyo, Los kuondene mosebarore, nikech oyiengni.
3 Thou hast shown thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.
Isenyiso jogi kinde mag chandruok mapek; isemiyowa kongʼo mamiyo wakwangʼ.
4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. (Selah)
To isechungo bandech loch ni joma oluori mondo oumgi ka oywanegi atungʼ. (Sela)
5 That thy beloved may be delivered; save [with] thy right hand, and hear me.

6 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.
Nyasaye osewuoyo gie kare maler kowacho niya, “Abiro pogo Shekem ne ji, kendo abiro pimo ne ji Holo mar Sukoth.
7 Gilead [is] mine, and Manasseh [is] mine; Ephraim also [is] the strength of my head; Judah [is] my lawgiver;
Gilead en mara, Manase bende mara; Efraim en oguta mar lweny, to Juda en osimbona mar loch.
8 Moab [is] my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.
Moab en besen mara mar luok, to Edom e kama amoe wuochena; Filistia ema akoke ka aseloyo lweny.”
9 Who will bring me [into] the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
En ngʼa mabiro kela e dala maduongʼ mochiel motegno? Ngʼa mabiro telona nyaka Edom?
10 [Wilt] thou not, O God, [who] hadst cast us off? and [thou], O God, [who] didst not go out with our armies?
Donge in ema isedagiwa, yaye Nyasaye, kendo tinde ok idhi gi jolwenjwa e lweny?
11 Give us help from trouble: for vain [is] the help of man.
Miwa kony mondo walo wasikwa, nikech kony mar dhano onge tich.
12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he will tread down our enemies.
Wabiro loyo lweny ka Nyasaye nikodwa, kendo obiro nyono wasikwa piny.
