Psalms 58
1 To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, Michtam of David. Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
Acaso fallaes vós devéras, ó congregação, a justiça? Julgaes realmente, ó filhos dos homens
2 Yes, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
Antes no coração obraes perversidades: sobre a terra pesaes a violencia das vossas mãos.
3 The wicked are estranged from their birth: they go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.
Alienam-se os impios desde a madre; andam errados desde que nasceram, fallando mentiras.
4 Their poison [is] like the poison of a serpent: [they are] like the deaf adder [that] stoppeth her ear;
O seu veneno é similhante ao veneno da serpente; são como a vibora surda que tapa os ouvidos,
5 Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.
Para não ouvir a voz dos encantadores, do encantador sabio em encantamentos.
6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.
Ó Deus, quebra-lhes os dentes nas suas boccas; arranca, Senhor, os dentes queixaes aos filhos dos leões.
7 Let them melt away as waters [which] run continually: [when] he bendeth [his bow to shoot] his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.
Escorram como aguas que correm constantemente; quando elle armar as suas frechas, fiquem feitos em pedaços.
8 As a snail [which] melteth, let [every one of them] pass away: [like] the untimely birth of a woman, [that] they may not see the sun.
Como a lesma se derrete, assim se vá cada um d'elles, como o aborto d'uma mulher, que nunca viu o sol.
9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in [his] wrath.
Antes que as vossas panellas sintam os espinhos, elle os arrebatará na sua indignação como com um redemoinho.
10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
O justo se alegrará quando vir a vingança; lavará os seus pés no sangue do impio.
11 So that a man shall say, Verily [there is] a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.
Então dirá o homem: Devéras ha uma recompensa para o justo; devéras ha um Deus que julga na terra.
