< Psalms 58 >

1 To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, Michtam of David. Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
Kathutkung: Devit Nangmouh duem na kaawm e naw, lannae lawk hah na dei awh katang maw. Oe tami capanaw kalanlah lawk na ceng awh maw.
2 Yes, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
Na ceng awh hoeh, na lungthung vah, hawihoehnae na sak awh. Talaivan na kut hoi thamanae yawcu hoi na khing awh.
3 The wicked are estranged from their birth: they go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.
Tamikathoutnaw teh, von thung hoi lam a payon awh toe. A tâco awh tahma vah, laithoe dei laihoi lam a payon awh.
4 Their poison [is] like the poison of a serpent: [they are] like the deaf adder [that] stoppeth her ear;
Asue teh hrunthoesue patetlah ao. A hnâ ka pang e tahrun a hnâ pahru e patetlah ao.
5 Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.
Hote tahrun ni teh tahrun camnae lawk hai thai thai hoeh. Camnae la sak e hai thai thai hoeh.
6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.
Oe Cathut, a kâko e hâ hah khoe pouh haw. Oe BAWIPA, athakaawme sendek nônaw hah khoe pouh haw.
7 Let them melt away as waters [which] run continually: [when] he bendeth [his bow to shoot] his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.
Ka lawng lahun e tui patetlah kahmat awh naseh. Licung a sawn awh toteh, ahnimae palanaw teh koung kâkhoe naseh.
8 As a snail [which] melteth, let [every one of them] pass away: [like] the untimely birth of a woman, [that] they may not see the sun.
A cei lahun nah kahmat e kongkaraw patetlah kahmat awh naseh. Camo karawk e ni kanî a hmu hoeh e patetlah awm awh naseh.
9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in [his] wrath.
Pâkhing pho hoi patawi e hmai, hlaam a bet hoehnahlan vah, kahring e pâkhing pho hoi hmai ka kang e pâkhing phonaw teh, bongparui ni cetkhai naseh.
10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
Tamikalannaw ni hot patetlah e reknae hah a hmu awh toteh, a konawm awh han.
11 So that a man shall say, Verily [there is] a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.
