Psalms 56
1 To the chief Musician upon Jonathelem-rechokim, Michtam of David, when the Philistines took him in Gath. Be merciful to me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.
੧ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ। ਯੋਂਤੇਲੇਖੋਕੀਮ ਰਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਮਿਕਤਾਮ ਜਦੋਂ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਥ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੜਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਯਾ ਕਰ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਧਦੇ ਹਨ, ਓਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਲੜਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ!
2 My enemies would daily swallow [me] up: for [they are] many that fight against me, O thou Most High.
੨ਮੇਰੇ ਘਾਤੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਮਿੱਧਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਦੇ ਹਨ।
3 In the time when I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
੩ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਡਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ।
4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do to me.
੪ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਨਾ ਡਰਾਂਗਾ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
5 Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts [are] against me for evil.
੫ਓਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਲਟਾਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
6 They assemble themselves, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.
੬ਓਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਲੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਓਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਓਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਲਈ ਆਕੜਦੇ ਸਨ।
7 Shall they escape by iniquity; in [thy] anger cast down the people, O God.
੭ਭਲਾ, ਓਹ ਬਦਕਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਚ ਨਿੱਕਲਣਗੇ? ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਲਾਹ ਦੇ!
8 Thou numberest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: [are they] not in thy book?
੮ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਵਾਰਾ ਫਿਰਨ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਮੇਰਿਆਂ ਅੰਝੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੁੱਪੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਛੱਡ, ਭਲਾ, ਉਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ?।
9 When I cry [to thee], then shall my enemies turn back: this I know; for God [is] for me.
੯ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਂ ਪੁਕਾਰਾਂ ਤਦ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਪਿਛਾਂਹ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਹੈ।
10 In God will I praise [his] word: in the LORD will I praise [his] word.
੧੦ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਬਚਨ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਬਚਨ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do to me.
੧੧ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਨਾ ਡਰਾਂਗਾ, ਆਦਮੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
12 Thy vows [are] upon me, O God: I will render praises to thee.
੧੨ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਸੁੱਖਣਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ,
13 For thou hast delivered my soul from death: [wilt thou] not [deliver] my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
੧੩ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਡਾਈ ਹੈ, - ਭਲਾ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਿਆਂ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੇਡੇ ਖਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਬਚਾਵੇਂਗਾ, ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਜਿਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਾਂ ਫਿਰਾਂ?
