< Psalms 55 >

1 To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, [A Psalm] of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ eji ụbọ akwara akpọ. Abụ maskil Devid. O Chineke, nụrụ ekpere m, agbakwala arịrịọ m nkịtị;
2 Attend to me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
ṅaa m ntị, zaakwa m. Echiche m na-esogbu m; ana m asụkwa oke ude
3 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
nʼihi ihe onye iro m na-ekwu, nʼihi ịba mba nke ndị ajọ mmadụ, nʼihi na ha na-ewetara m ntaramahụhụ, na-akpagbu m nʼiwe ha.
4 My heart is severely pained within me: and the terrors of death have fallen upon me.
Obi m nọ nʼọnọdụ oke ihe mgbu nʼime m; oke ụjọ nke ọnwụ abịakwasịla m.
5 Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
Ịtụ egwu na ahụ ịma jijiji abịakwasịkwala m; oke egwu ekpuchiela m.
6 And I said, O that I had wings like a dove! [for then] I would fly away, and be at rest.
Agwara m onwe m okwu sị, “A sịkwarị na m nwere nku dịka nduru! Agaara m efelaga ebe ọzọ gaa zuru ike.
7 Lo, [then] I would wander far off, [and] remain in the wilderness. (Selah)
Agaara m efelaga ebe dị anya, ga nọrọ nʼọzara; (Sela)
8 I would hasten my escape from the windy storm [and] tempest.
Agaara m eme ngwangwa gaa nʼebe mgbaba m, ebe dị anya site nʼebe ifufe siri ike na oke ifufe dị.”
9 Destroy, O LORD, [and] divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
O Onyenwe anyị, gbagwojuo ndị ajọ omume anya, mee ka ha ghara ịghọta ihe ibe ha na-ekwu, nʼihi na ana m ahụ ihe ike na ịlụ ọgụ nʼime obodo.
10 Day and night they go about it upon its walls: mischief also and sorrow [are] in the midst of it.
Ehihie na abalị, ha na-ejegharị nʼelu mgbidi ya; iro na mmegbu dị nʼime ya.
11 Wickedness [is] in the midst of it: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
A na-ahụta akaọrụ ihe ịla nʼiyi nʼime obodo; ihe ike na ụgha ewerela ọnọdụ ha nʼime obodo.
12 For [it was] not an enemy [that] reproached me; then I could have borne [it]: neither [was it] he that hated me [that] magnified [himself] against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
A sị na ọ bụ onye iro ji m eme ihe ọchị, apụrụ m ịnagide ya; a sịkwa na ọ bụ onye iro na-eweli onwe ya megide m, apụrụ m izonarị onwe m site nʼebe ọ nọ.
13 But [it was] thou, a man my equal, my guide, and my acquaintance.
Maọbụ gị, nwoke dịka m, onye mụ na ya dị na mma, enyi m ọma,
14 We took sweet counsel together, [and] walked to the house of God in company.
onye mụ na ya na-enwe mmekọrịta dị ụtọ na mbụ, nʼụlọ Chineke, ka anyị na-ejegharị nʼetiti ọha mmadụ bịara ife ofufe.
15 Let death seize upon them, [and] let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness [is] in their dwellings, [and] among them. (Sheol h7585)
Ka ọnwụ bịakwasị ndị iro m na mberede; ka ha rịdaa ala mmụọ na ndụ, nʼihi na ihe ọjọọ na-achọta ebe ọnọdụ nʼetiti ha. (Sheol h7585)
16 As for me, I will call upon God: and the LORD will save me.
Ma akpọkuru m Chineke, Onyenwe anyị na-azọpụtakwa m.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he will hear my voice.
Nʼụtụtụ, ma nʼehihie, ma nʼabalị, ka m sitere nʼoke ihe mgbu, na-akpọku ya ma ọ na-anụkwa olu m.
18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle [that was] against me: for there were many with me.
Ọ na-agbapụta m, mee ka m ghara imerụ ahụ, site nʼagha niile e busoro m, nʼagbanyeghị nʼọtụtụ biliri megide m.
19 God will hear and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. (Selah) Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
Chineke, onye nọkwasịrị nʼocheeze ya ruo mgbe ebighị ebi, onye na-adịghị agbanwe, ga-anụ olu ha, taakwa ha ahụhụ, nʼihi na ha adịghị atụ egwu Chineke. (Sela)
20 He hath put forth his hands against such as are at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
Onye mụ na ya dị na mma na-emegide ndị enyi ya, ọ na-emerụ ọgbụgba ndụ ya ka ọ ghara ịdị nsọ.
21 [The words] of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war [was] in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet [were] they drawn swords.
Okwu ọnụ ya dị mụrụmụrụ ka bọta, ma ibu agha juru ya obi; okwu ya niile dị nro karịa mmanụ, ma ha bụ mma agha e welitere maka ibu agha.
22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he will sustain thee: he will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Tụkwasị Onyenwe anyị mkpa gị niile, ọ ga-agba gị ume; ọ gaghị ekwe ka ewezuga onye ezi omume.
23 But thou, O God, wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.
Ma gị, O Chineke, ga-adọtu ndị ajọ omume nʼime olulu nke jupụtara nʼire ure; ndị ogbu mmadụ na ndị aghụghọ agaghị ebi ọ bụladị ọkara ndụ ha. Ma mụ onwe m, ọ bụ na gị ka m na-atụkwasị obi m.
