Psalms 52

1 To the chief Musician, Maschil, [A Psalm] of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said to him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God [endureth] continually.

१दाविदाचे स्तोत्र हे सामर्थ्यवान पुरुषा, तू वाईट गोष्टींचा अभिमान का बाळगतोस? देवाच्या कराराची विश्वसनियता प्रत्येक दिवशी येते.

2 Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

२अरे कपटाने कार्य करणाऱ्या, तुझी जीभ धारदार वस्तऱ्यासारखी नाशाची योजना करते.

3 Thou lovest evil more than good; [and] lying rather than to speak righteousness. (Selah)

३तुला चांगल्यापेक्षा वाईटाची, आणि प्रामाणिकपणे बोलण्यापेक्षा असत्याची अधिक आवड आहे.

4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O [thou] deceitful tongue.

४तू कपटी जीभे, तुला दुसऱ्यांचा नाश करणारे शब्द आवडतात.

5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of [thy] dwelling-place, and root thee out of the land of the living. (Selah)

५त्याप्रमाणे देव तुझा सर्वकाळ नाश करील; तो तुला वर घेऊन जाईल आणि आपल्या तंबूतून उपटून बाहेर काढेल आणि तुला जिवंताच्या भूमीतून मुळासकट उपटून टाकील.

6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

६नितीमानसुद्धा ते पाहतील आणि घाबरतील; ते त्याच्याकडे पाहून हसतील आणि म्हणतील,

7 Lo, [this is] the man [that] made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, [and] strengthened himself in his wickedness.

७पाहा, या मनुष्याने देवाला आपले आश्रयस्थान केले नाही, पण आपल्या विपुल संपत्तीवर भरवसा ठेवला, आणि आपल्या दुष्टपणात स्वतःला पक्के केले.

8 But I [am] like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

८पण मी तर देवाच्या घरात हिरव्यागार जैतून झाडासारखा आहे; माझा देवाच्या कराराच्या विश्वसनीयतेवर सदासर्वकाळ आणि कायम भरवसा आहे.

9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done [it]: and I will wait on thy name; for [it is] good before thy saints.

९कारण ज्या गोष्टी तू केल्या आहेत, त्यासाठी मी तुझ्या विश्वासणाऱ्यांच्या समक्षेत सर्वकाळ तुझे उपकार मानीन. आणि तुझ्या नावात आशा ठेवली आहे कारण ते चांगले आहे.
