Psalms 48
1 A Song [and] Psalm for the sons of Korah. Great [is] the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, [in] the mountain of his holiness.
ഒരു ഗീതം. കോരഹ് പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിൽ, അവിടത്തെ വിശുദ്ധപർവതത്തിൽ, യഹോവ ഉന്നതനും അത്യന്തം സ്തുത്യനും ആകുന്നു.
2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, [is] mount Zion, [on] the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
മഹാരാജാവിന്റെ നഗരമായി സാഫോൺ ഗിരിപോലെയുള്ള സീയോൻപർവതം ഔന്നത്യംകൊണ്ട് മനോഹരവും സർവഭൂമിയുടെ ആനന്ദവും ആകുന്നു.
3 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.
അവളിലെ കോട്ടകൾക്കുള്ളിൽ ദൈവമുണ്ട്; അവൾക്കൊരു അഭയസ്ഥാനമായി അവിടന്ന് സ്വയം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
4 For lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.
ഇതാ, രാജാക്കന്മാർ സൈന്യസമേതം ഒത്തുചേർന്നു അവർ ഒത്തൊരുമിച്ചു മുന്നേറി,
5 They saw [it], [and] so they wondered; they were troubled, [and] hasted away.
അവർ അവളെ നോക്കി അമ്പരപ്പോടെ നിന്നുപോയി സംഭീതരായവർ പലായനംചെയ്തു.
6 Fear took hold upon them there, [and] pain, as of a woman in travail.
അവർക്കൊരു വിറയൽ ബാധിച്ചു പ്രസവവേദന അനുഭവിക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീയെപ്പോലെ കഠിനവേദന അവർക്കുണ്ടായി.
7 Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.
കിഴക്കൻകാറ്റിനാൽ തകർക്കപ്പെടുന്ന തർശീശ് കപ്പലുകളെപ്പോലെ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
8 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)
ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടതുപോലെതന്നെ ഞങ്ങൾ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ നഗരത്തിൽ, നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽത്തന്നെ: ദൈവം എന്നേക്കും അവളെ സുരക്ഷിതയാക്കുന്നു. (സേലാ)
9 We have thought of thy loving-kindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
ദൈവമേ, അവിടത്തെ ആലയത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ അങ്ങയുടെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹത്തെപ്പറ്റി ധ്യാനിക്കുന്നു.
10 According to thy name, O God, so [is] thy praise to the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.
ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങയുടെ നാമംപോലെതന്നെ, അവിടത്തെ സ്തുതികൾ ഭൂസീമകളോളം അലയടിക്കുന്നു; അവിടത്തെ വലതുകരത്തിൽ നീതി നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
11 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.
അവിടത്തെ ന്യായവിധികൾനിമിത്തം സീയോൻപർവതം ആനന്ദിക്കുകയും യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങൾ ആഹ്ലാദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
12 Walk about Zion, and go round her: number her towers.
സീയോനുചുറ്റും നടക്കുക, അവൾക്കുചുറ്റും പ്രദക്ഷിണംചെയ്യുക, അവളുടെ ഗോപുരങ്ങൾ എണ്ണുക,
13 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell [it] to the generation following.
അവളുടെ പ്രതിരോധസന്നാഹം സസൂക്ഷ്മം നിരീക്ഷിക്കുക അവളുടെ കോട്ടമതിലുകൾ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കുക, വരുംതലമുറയോട് അവളെക്കുറിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതിനുതന്നെ.
14 For this God [is] our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide [even] to death.
കാരണം ഈ ദൈവം ഇന്നുമെന്നേക്കും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം ആകുന്നു; അന്ത്യംവരെയും അവിടന്നായിരിക്കും നമ്മുടെ മാർഗദർശി.
