Psalms 43

1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

Maščuj me, Bog, in prevzemi pravdo mojo; ljudstva hudobnega, moža zvijačnega in krivičnega reši me.

2 For thou [art] the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

Ker ti si Bog moči moje, zakaj bi me zamétal? zakaj bi žalujoč hodil neprestano zaradi zatiranja sovražnikovega?

3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me to thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

Pošlji luč svojo in resnico svojo, oné naj me spremljati, pripeljati naj me na goro svetosti tvoje, in v šatore tvoje.

4 Then will I go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy: yes, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

Da stopim pred oltár Božji, pred Boga mogočnega, veselje radosti moje, in te slavim sè strunami, o Bog, Bog moj.

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, [who] is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Kaj si pobita, duša moja, in kaj tako ropočeš v meni? Upaj v Boga, ker še ga bodem slavil, vso blaginjo obličja mojega in mojega Boga.
