< Psalms 40 >
1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined to me, and heard my cry.
Kuom jatend wer. Zaburi mar Daudi. Ne arito Jehova Nyasaye ka ahora mos; ne odwogo ira mi owinjo ywakna.
2 He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, [and] established my goings.
Ne oywaya oko e bur motimo otodo, ne ogola e chwodho gi thidhna. Ne oketo tiendena e lwanda kendo nomiya kama otegno mondo achungie.
3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, [even] praise to our God: many shall see [it], and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
Ne oketo wer manyien e dhoga, en wer mipakogo Nyasachwa. Ji mangʼeny biro neno mi gibed maluor kendo gibiro keto genogi kuom Jehova Nyasaye.
4 Blessed [is] that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Ngʼat moketo Jehova Nyasaye kaka kar geno mare en ngʼat mogwedhi, ngʼat ma ok many kony kuom josunga, bende ok omany kony kuom joma lokore mondo olam nyiseche mag miriambo.
5 Many, O LORD, my God, [are] thy wonderful works [which] thou hast done, and thy thoughts [which are] toward us, they cannot be reckoned up in order to thee: [if] I would declare and speak [of them], they are more than can be numbered.
Ranyisi misetimo thoth, yaye Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasacha. Gigo mane ichanonwa onge ngʼama nyalo kwanoni; ka dine bed ni wanyalo wuoyo kuomgi; to dine gibedo mangʼeny ma ok wanyal wacho.
6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; my ears hast thou opened: burnt-offering and sin-offering hast thou not required.
Misengini kod chiwo ok ema ne idwaro to ita ema iseyawo; misengini miwangʼo pep kod chiwo mag golo richo ne ok idwaro.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book [it is] written of me,
Eka nawacho niya, “Eri an ka, asebiro mana kaka ondiki kuoma e Muma.
8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law [is] within my heart.
Chunya dwaro timo dwaroni, yaye Nyasacha; chikni ni ei chunya.”
9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
Alando tim makare e chokruok maduongʼ; ok aumo dhoga, mana kaka ingʼeyo, yaye Jehova Nyasaye.
10 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy loving-kindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
Ok apando timni makare e chunya; to awuoyo kuom adierani gi warruokni. Ok apando herani gi adierani ni chokruok maduongʼ.
11 Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy loving-kindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
Kik itamri kecha, yaye Jehova Nyasaye; mad herani gi adierani osik ka rita.
12 For innumerable evils have encompassed me: my iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head: therefore my heart faileth me.
Nikech chandruok mokalo akwana olwora; richona osejuka kendo ok anyal neno. Gingʼeny moloyo yie wiya, kendo chunya onyosore gie iya.
13 Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.
Bed mamor, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, mondo iresa. Bi piyo, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, mondo ikonya.
14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.
Mad ji duto madwaro ketho ngimana wigi kuodi kendo pachgi olal; mad ji duto ma chunygi gombona tho oriemb kadok gi wich okuot.
15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say to me, Aha, aha.
Mad joma nyiera niya, “Haa! Haa!” Ngʼengʼ ka gineno wichkuot.
16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
To mad ji duto madwari bed moil kendo mamor kuomi; mad joma ohero warruok mari osik kawacho niya, “Jehova Nyasaye mondo oyud duongʼ!”
17 But I [am] poor and needy; [yet] the LORD thinketh upon me: thou [art] my help and my deliverer; make no delay, O my God.
Anto adhier kendo achando, mad Ruoth Nyasaye parae. In e jakonyna kendo jawarna; in e Nyasacha, kik ideki.
