Psalms 4
1 To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm of David. Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me [when I was] in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. തന്ത്രിനാദത്തോടെ. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. എന്റെ നീതിയായ ദൈവമേ, ഞാൻ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഉത്തരമരുളണമേ. എന്റെ കഷ്ടതകളിൽനിന്ന് എനിക്കു മോചനം നൽകണമേ; എന്നോടു കരുണതോന്നി എന്റെ പ്രാർഥന കേൾക്കണമേ.
2 O ye sons of men, how long [will ye turn] my glory into shame? [how long] will ye love vanity, [and] seek after falsehood? (Selah)
അല്ലയോ മനുഷ്യാ, നിങ്ങൾ എത്രനാൾ എന്റെ മഹത്ത്വത്തെ അപമാനിക്കും? എത്രനാൾ നിങ്ങൾ വ്യാമോഹത്തെ പ്രണയിച്ച് കാപട്യത്തെ പിൻതുടരും? (സേലാ)
3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call to him.
യഹോവ വിശ്വസ്തരെ തനിക്കായിത്തന്നെ വേർതിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നറിയുക; ഞാൻ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ യഹോവ ഉത്തരമരുളുന്നു.
4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
നടുങ്ങുവിൻ പാപം ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പിൻ; നിങ്ങൾ കിടക്കയിൽവെച്ച് ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ധ്യാനിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് മൗനമായിരിക്കുക. (സേലാ)
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
നീതിയാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിക്കുകയും യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക.
6 [There are] many that say, Who will show us [any] good? LORD, lift thou upon us the light of thy countenance.
“നമുക്കു നന്മചെയ്യുന്നത് ആരാണ്?” എന്നു പലരും ചോദിക്കുന്നു. യഹോവേ, അവിടത്തെ മുഖകാന്തി ഞങ്ങളുടെമേൽ പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കണമേ.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time [when] their corn and their wine increased.
ധാന്യവും പുതുവീഞ്ഞും സമൃദ്ധമായി വിളവെടുത്തപ്പോൾ അവർക്കുണ്ടായതിലുമധികം ആനന്ദം അങ്ങ് എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പകർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for thou only, LORD, makest me dwell in safety.
ഞാൻ സമാധാനത്തോടെ കിടന്നുറങ്ങും, എന്നെ സുരക്ഷിതമായി അധിവസിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് യഹോവേ, അവിടന്നുതന്നെയാണല്ലോ.
