< Psalms 38 >
1 A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
Zaburi mar Daudi. Lemo mar kwayo kony. Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, kik ikwera ka in gi mirima bende kik ikuma ka mirima mager omaki.
2 For thy arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand falleth heavy upon me.
Nikech aserni magi osechwoya, kendo lweti osebet kuoma.
3 [There is] no soundness in my flesh because of thy anger; neither [is there any] rest in my bones because of my sin.
Mirimbi mager osemiyo ringra obedo maonge ngima maber; chokena ok winj maber nikech richona.
4 For my iniquities have gone over my head: as a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
Ketho ma asekethogo oima mana ka lodi mapek mohinga tingʼo.
5 My wounds are offensive, [and] are corrupt because of my foolishness.
Adhondena otimo tutu kendo dungʼ marach nikech fupa mar timo richo.
6 I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
Adolora kendo akulora piny chuth odiechiengʼ duto, awuotho koni gi koni, ka akuyo.
7 For my loins are filled with a lothsome [disease]: and [there is] no soundness in my flesh.
Ondingʼa rama gi rem malich; ringra onge gi ngima maber.
8 I am feeble and grievously broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
Denda ool kendo tekra orumo chuth; achur nikech chunya lit.
9 LORD, all my desire [is] before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
Gik ma chunya dwaro duto ongʼereni maber, yaye Jehova Nyasaye; chur ma achurgo ok opondoni.
10 My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of my eyes, that also is gone from me.
Chunya gwecho, tekra orumo; wengena otimo mudho.
11 My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my affliction; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
Osiepena gi anywolana ok dwar nena nikech adhondena; joma odak buta otangʼ koda.
12 They also that seek after my life lay snares [for me]: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
Joma dwaro kawo ngimana ochiko obadhogi, joma dwaro hinya chano kaka ginyalo tieka chuth. Gichano miriambo odiechiengʼ duto.
13 But I, as a deaf [man], heard not; and [I was] as a dumb man [that] openeth not his mouth.
Achalo ngʼama ite odino, ma ok nyal winjo wach, mana ka momo ma ok nyal yawo dhoge;
14 Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth [are] no reproofs.
Achalo gi ngʼat ma ok winj wach, ma dhoge ok nyal dwoko wach.
15 For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O LORD my God.
To in ema ariti, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, kendo angʼeyo ni ibiro dwoka, yaye Ruoth Nyasacha.
16 For I said, [Hear me], lest [otherwise] they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify [themselves] against me.
Nimar ne awacho niya, “Kik iyie mondo gisungrena, kata gigona siboi ni tienda okier.”
17 For I [am] ready to halt, and my sorrow [is] continually before me.
Nimar achiegni podho, kendo rem ma an-go osiko koda.
18 For I will declare my iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
Ahulo kethona; richona chando chunya.
19 But my enemies [are] lively, [and] they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
Wasika molwora ngʼeny; joma ochaya maonge gima omiyo thoth mokalo akwana.
20 They also that render evil for good are my adversaries; because I follow [the thing that is] good.
Joma chulo rach kuom ber ma asetimonegi kuodho nyinga ka an to alawo gima ber.
21 Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.
Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, kik ijwangʼa; kik ibed mabor koda, yaye Nyasacha.
22 Make haste to help me, O LORD my salvation.
Bi piyo mondo ikonya, yaye Ruoth Nyasaye kendo Jawarna.
