Psalms 36
1 To the chief Musician, [A Psalm] of David the servant of the LORD. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, [that there is] no fear of God before his eyes.
Para el músico principal. Por David, el siervo de Yahvé. Hay una revelación en mi corazón sobre la desobediencia de los malvados: No hay temor de Dios ante sus ojos.
2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity is found to be hateful.
Porque se halaga a sí mismo ante sus propios ojos, demasiado para detectar y odiar su pecado.
3 The words of his mouth [are] iniquity and deceit: he hath ceased to be wise, [and] to do good.
Las palabras de su boca son iniquidad y engaño. Ha dejado de ser sabio y de hacer el bien.
4 He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way [that is] not good; he abhorreth not evil.
Trama la iniquidad en su lecho. Se pone de una manera que no es buena. No aborrece el mal.
5 Thy mercy, O LORD, [is] in the heavens; [and] thy faithfulness [reacheth] to the clouds.
Tu bondad, Yahvé, está en los cielos. Tu fidelidad llega a los cielos.
6 Thy righteousness [is] like the great mountains; thy judgments [are] a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
Tu justicia es como los montes de Dios. Sus juicios son como una gran profundidad. Yahvé, tú preservas al hombre y al animal.
7 How excellent [is] thy loving-kindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
¡Qué preciosa es tu bondad, Dios! Los hijos de los hombres se refugian bajo la sombra de tus alas.
8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
Estarán muy satisfechos con la abundancia de tu casa. Les harás beber del río de tus placeres.
9 For with thee [is] the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
Porque contigo está la fuente de la vida. En su luz veremos la luz.
10 O continue thy loving-kindness to them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
Oh, continúa tu amorosa bondad con los que te conocen, tu justicia a los rectos de corazón.
11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
No dejes que el pie de la soberbia venga contra mí. No dejes que la mano del malvado me aleje.
12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
Allíhan caído los obreros de la iniquidad. Son empujados hacia abajo, y no podrán levantarse.
