< Psalms 34 >

1 [A Psalm] of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise [shall] continually [be] in my mouth.
Faarfannaa Daawit. Innis fuula Abiimelek duratti maraatuu of fakkeesseef Abiimelek isa ariinaan yeroo achii deemetti faarfate. Ani yeroo hunda Waaqayyoon nan eebbisa; galanni isaas yeroo hunda afaanii na hin buʼu.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear [of it] and be glad.
Lubbuun koo Waaqayyoon boonti; cunqurfamtoonni dhagaʼanii haa gammadan.
3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
Na wajjin Waaqayyoof ulfina kennaa; kottaa walii wajjin maqaa isaa ol kaafnaa.
4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Waaqayyoon nan barbaaddadhe; innis deebii naa kenne; sodaa koo hunda keessaas na baase.
5 They looked to him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
Warri gara isaa ilaalan ni ifu; fuulli isaaniis yoom iyyuu hin qaanaʼu.
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard [him], and saved him out of all his troubles.
Hiyyeessi kun ni iyye; Waaqayyos isa dhagaʼe; rakkina isaa hundumaa keessaas isa baase.
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth around them that fear him, and delivereth them.
Ergamaan Waaqayyoo naannoo warra Waaqa sodaatanii ni qubata; isaan ni oolchas.
8 O taste and see that the LORD [is] good: blessed [is] the man [that] trusteth in him.
Akka Waaqayyo gaarii taʼe mee miʼeeffadhaa ilaalaa; namni isatti kooluu galu eebbifamaa dha.
9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for [there is] no want to them that fear him.
Isin qulqulloonni isaa Waaqayyoon sodaadhaa; warri isa sodaatan homaa hin dhabaniitii.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good [thing].
Leenci saafelli iyyuu waa ni dhaba; ni beelaʼas; namni Waaqayyoon barbaaddatu garuu waan gaarii tokko illee hin dhabu.
11 Come, ye children, hearken to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
Yaa ijoollee ko, kottaa na dhagaʼaa; anis Waaqayyoon sodaachuu isinan barsiisa.
12 What man [is he that] desireth life, [and] loveth [many] days, that he may see good?
Namni jireenya jaallatu, kan bara gaarii arguudhaafis bara baayʼee hawwu eenyu?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Arraba kee waan hamaa irraa, afaan kees soba dubbachuu irraa eeggadhu.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Hammina irraa deebiʼi; gaarii hojjedhu; nagaa barbaadi; duukaa buʼis.
15 The eyes of the LORD [are] upon the righteous, and his ears [are open] to their cry.
Iji Waaqayyoo qajeeltota irra jira; gurri isaas iyya isaaniitiif banamaa dha;
16 The face of the LORD [is] against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
yaadannoo isaanii lafa irraa balleessuudhaaf, fuulli Waaqayyoo warra hamaa hojjetanitti ni hammaata.
17 [The righteous] cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
Qajeeltonni gargaarsaaf iyyatu; Waaqayyos isaan dhagaʼa. Rakkina isaanii hunda keessaas isaan baasa.
18 The LORD [is] nigh to them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as are of a contrite spirit.
Waaqayyo warra garaan isaanii cabetti dhiʼoo dha; warra abdii kutatanis ni fayyisa.
19 Many [are] the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
Rakkinni nama qajeelaa baayʼee dha; Waaqayyo garuu hunda isaa jalaa isa baasa;
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
lafee isaa hunda ni eega; isaan keessaas tokko illee hin cabu.
21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
Hamoota hamminatu ajjeesa; warra nama qajeelaa jibbanitti ni murteeffama.
22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
Waaqayyo lubbuu tajaajiltoota isaa ni fura; warra isatti kooluu galan keessaa tokkotti illee hin murteeffamu.
