Psalms 28
1 [A Psalm] of David. To thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, [if] thou shouldst be silent to me, I should become like them that go down into the pit.
De David. Je crie vers toi, ô Éternel! Mon rocher, ne sois pas sourd à ma prière, De peur que, si tu t'éloignes sans me répondre, Je ne devienne semblable à ceux qui descendent dans la tombe.
2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry to thee, when I lift my hands towards thy holy oracle.
Écoute ma voix suppliante, quand je crie vers toi, Quand j'élève mes mains vers ton sanctuaire.
3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbors, but mischief [is] in their hearts.
Ne m'entraîne pas dans la ruine des méchants Et des ouvriers d'iniquité, Qui parlent de paix avec leur prochain. Quand la malice est dans leur coeur.
4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavors: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.
Traite-les selon leurs oeuvres, Selon la méchanceté de leurs actions; Traite-les selon l'ouvrage de leurs mains. Rends-leur ce qu'ils ont mérité!
5 Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he will destroy them, and not build them up.
Puisqu'ils ne prennent pas garde aux oeuvres de l'Éternel, Ni à l'ouvrage de ses mains, Il les détruira, et il ne les relèvera point!
6 Blessed [be] the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.
Béni soit l'Éternel! Car il a entendu ma voix suppliante.
7 The LORD [is] my strength, and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
L'Éternel est ma force et mon bouclier. Mon coeur s'est confié en lui, et j'ai été secouru; Aussi mon coeur est-il plein d'allégresse, Et je loue l'Éternel dans mes cantiques.
8 The LORD [is] their strength, and he [is] the saving strength of his anointed.
L'Éternel est la force des siens; Il est un rempart de salut pour son oint.
9 Save thy people, and bless thy inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
Sauve ton peuple, et bénis ton héritage! Sois leur berger, et soutiens-les éternellement.
