Psalms 27
1 [A Psalm] of David. The LORD [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD [is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
| مزمور داوود. خداوند نور و نجات من است، از که بترسم؟ خداوند حافظ جان من است از که هراسان شوم؟ |
2 When the wicked, [even] my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
| هنگامی که بدکاران بر من هجوم آوردند تا مرا نابود کنند، لغزیدند و افتادند. |
3 Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this [will] I [be] confident.
| حتی اگر لشکری بر ضد من برخیزد، ترسی به دل راه نخواهم داد! اگر علیه من جنگ بر پا کنند، به خدا توکل خواهم کرد و نخواهم ترسید! |
4 One [thing] have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
| تنها خواهش من از خداوند این است که اجازه دهد تمام روزهای عمرم در حضور او زیست کنم و در خانهٔ او به او تفکر نمایم و جمال او را مشاهده کنم. |
5 For in the time of trouble he will hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle will he hide me; he will set me up upon a rock.
| در روزهای سخت زندگی، او مرا در خانهٔ خود پناه خواهد داد، مرا حفظ خواهد کرد و بر صخره‌ای بلند و مطمئن استوار خواهد ساخت. |
6 And now shall my head be lifted above my enemies around me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.
| آنگاه بر دشمنانی که مرا احاطه کرده‌اند پیروز خواهم شد؛ با فریاد شادی در خیمهٔ او قربانیها تقدیم خواهم نمود و برای خداوند سرود شکرگزاری خواهم خواند. |
7 Hear, O LORD, [when] I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
| ای خداوند، فریاد مرا بشنو و رحمت فرموده، دعایم را اجابت کن. |
8 [When thou saidst], Seek ye my face; my heart said to thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
| تو گفته‌ای که تو را بطلبم، من نیز از ته دل می‌گویم که ای خداوند تو را خواهم طلبید. |
9 Hide not thy face from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
| خود را از من پنهان نکن؛ بر من خشمگین مشو و مرا از حضورت نران. تو مددکار من بوده‌ای، مرا طرد نکن؛ ای خدای نجا‌ت‌دهندۀ من، مرا ترک نکن! |
10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
| حتی اگر پدر و مادرم مرا از خود برانند، خداوند مرا نزد خود خواهد پذیرفت. |
11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of my enemies.
| ای خداوند، مرا به راه راست خود هدایت کن تا از گزند دشمن در امان باشم. |
12 Deliver me not over to the will of my enemies: for false witnesses have risen against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
| مرا به دست بدخواهانم نسپار، زیرا این ظالمان می‌خواهند با شهادت دروغ خود، بر ضد من قیام کنند. |
13 [I had fainted], unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
| به یقین باور دارم که نیکویی خداوند را بار دیگر در این دنیا، در دیار زندگان خواهم دید. |
14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he will strengthen thy heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
| به خداوند امیدوار باش و بر او توکل کن. ایمان داشته باش و ناامید نشو. |
