Psalms 27

1 [A Psalm] of David. The LORD [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD [is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

ダビデの歌 主はわたしの光、わたしの救だ、わたしはだれを恐れよう。主はわたしの命のとりでだ。わたしはだれをおじ恐れよう。

2 When the wicked, [even] my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

わたしのあだ、わたしの敵である悪を行う者どもが、襲ってきて、わたしをそしり、わたしを攻めるとき、彼らはつまずき倒れるであろう。

3 Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this [will] I [be] confident.

たとい軍勢が陣営を張って、わたしを攻めても、わたしの心は恐れない。たといいくさが起って、わたしを攻めても、なおわたしはみずから頼むところがある。

4 One [thing] have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.

わたしは一つの事を主に願った、わたしはそれを求める。わたしの生きるかぎり、主の家に住んで、主のうるわしきを見、その宮で尋ねきわめることを。

5 For in the time of trouble he will hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle will he hide me; he will set me up upon a rock.

それは主が悩みの日に、その仮屋のうちにわたしを潜ませ、その幕屋の奥にわたしを隠し、岩の上にわたしを高く置かれるからである。

6 And now shall my head be lifted above my enemies around me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.

今わたしのこうべはわたしをめぐる敵の上に高くあげられる。それゆえ、わたしは主の幕屋で喜びの声をあげて、いけにえをささげ、歌って、主をほめたたえるであろう。

7 Hear, O LORD, [when] I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

主よ、わたしが声をあげて呼ばわるとき、聞いて、わたしをあわれみ、わたしに答えてください。

8 [When thou saidst], Seek ye my face; my heart said to thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

あなたは仰せられました、「わが顔をたずね求めよ」と。あなたにむかって、わたしの心は言います、「主よ、わたしはみ顔をたずね求めます」と。

9 Hide not thy face from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

み顔をわたしに隠さないでください。怒ってあなたのしもべを退けないでください。あなたはわたしの助けです。わが救の神よ、わたしを追い出し、わたしを捨てないでください。

10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

たとい父母がわたしを捨てても、主がわたしを迎えられるでしょう。

11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of my enemies.

主よ、あなたの道をわたしに教え、わたしのあだのゆえに、わたしを平らかな道に導いてください。

12 Deliver me not over to the will of my enemies: for false witnesses have risen against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

わたしのあだの望むがままに、わたしを引き渡さないでください。偽りのあかしをする者がわたしに逆らって起り、暴言を吐くからです。

13 [I had fainted], unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

わたしは信じます、生ける者の地でわたしは主の恵みを見ることを。

14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he will strengthen thy heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

主を待ち望め、強く、かつ雄々しくあれ。主を待ち望め。
