Psalms 26
1 [A Psalm] of David. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in my integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; [therefore] I shall not slide.
De David. Fais-moi justice, ô Éternel! Car je marche dans l'intégrité. Je mets ma confiance en l'Éternel: je ne serai pas ébranlé.
2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
Sonde-moi, ô Éternel, éprouve-moi; Fais passer au creuset mes reins et mon coeur!
3 For thy loving-kindness [is] before my eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.
Car ta bonté est devant mes yeux. Et je prends pour modèle ta fidélité.
4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.
Je ne m'assieds pas avec les hommes de mensonge; Je ne vais point avec les gens dissimulés.
5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.
Je hais l'assemblée des pervers, Et je ne m'assieds pas avec les méchants.
6 I will wash my hands in innocence: so will I compass thy altar, O LORD:
Je lave mes mains, parce que je suis pur, Et je me tiens auprès de ton autel, ô Éternel,
7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.
Pour éclater en actions de grâces, Et pour raconter toutes tes merveilles.
8 LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy honor dwelleth.
Éternel, j'aime à séjourner dans ta maison, Dans le lieu où réside ta gloire.
9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:
N'entraîne pas mon âme dans la ruine des pécheurs, Ni ma vie dans celle des hommes sanguinaires,
10 In whose hands [is] mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.
Qui ont les mains souillées de crimes. Et dont la main droite est pleine de présents.
11 But as for me, I will walk in my integrity: redeem me, and be merciful to me.
Mais moi, je marche dans l'intégrité; Délivre-moi, aie pitié de moi!
12 My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.
Mon pied reste dans le droit chemin. Je bénirai l'Éternel dans les assemblées!
