Psalms 23

1 A Psalm of David. The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want.

Psalm Dawida. PAN jest moim pasterzem, niczego mi nie zabraknie.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

Sprawia, że kładę się na zielonych pastwiskach, prowadzi mnie nad spokojne wody.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Posila moją duszę, prowadzi mnie ścieżkami sprawiedliwości ze względu na swoje imię.

4 Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shades of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Choćbym nawet chodził doliną cienia śmierci, zła się nie ulęknę, bo ty jesteś ze mną; twoja laska i kij pocieszają mnie.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Zastawiasz przede mną stół wobec moich wrogów, namaszczasz mi głowę olejkiem, mój kielich przelewa się.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Zaprawdę dobroć i miłosierdzie pójdą w ślad za mną po wszystkie dni mego życia i będę mieszkał w domu PANA przez długie czasy.
