< Psalms 21 >

1 To the chief Musician, a Psalm of David. The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. O! Yehowa, fia la le dzidzɔ kpɔm le wò ŋusẽ me. Ale gbegbe wòle aseye tsom le dziɖuɖu gã siwo nènae la ta!
2 Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withheld the request of his lips. (Selah)
Ètsɔ nu si eƒe dzi di la nɛ, eye nèwɔ nu siwo wòtsɔ eƒe nu bia la dzi nɛ. (Sela)
3 For thou hast met him with the blessings of goodness: thou hast set a crown of pure gold on his head.
Ètsɔ yayra xɔasi geɖewo do dza nɛ, eye nètsɔ fiakuku si wowɔ kple sika nyuitɔ la ɖɔ nɛ.
4 He asked life of thee, [and] thou gavest [it] to him, [even] length of days for ever and ever.
Ebia agbe wò, eye nènae hedidi eƒe ŋkekewo tso mavɔ me yi mavɔ me.
5 His glory [is] great in thy salvation: honor and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
Eƒe ŋkɔxɔxɔ de du to dziɖuɖu siwo nènae la me. Ètsɔ atsyɔ̃ kple bubu kɔ ɖe eya amea dzi.
6 For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
Vavã ènae yayra si nu meyina o, eye nèna dzidzɔkpɔkpɔ kple aseyetsotsoe le ŋkuwò me.
7 For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
Elabena fia la ɖo dzi ɖe Yehowa ŋu, eye le Dziƒoʋĩtɔ la ƒe lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o ta la, mavɔ̃ akpɔ gbeɖe o.
8 Thy hand shall find out all thy enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
Wò asi alé wò futɔwo katã, eye wò nuɖusi atu wò ketɔwo.
9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thy anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
Ne wò vavaɣi ɖo la, àwɔ wo abe kpodzo bibi ene. Yehowa ami wo le eƒe dɔmedzoe me, eye eƒe dzo afia wo katã.
10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
Àtsrɔ̃ woƒe dzidzimeviwo ɖa le anyigba dzi, eye àtsrɔ̃ woƒe nunɔamesiwo ɖa le amegbetɔwo dome.
11 For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, [which] they are not able [to perform].
Togbɔ be wole vɔ̃ ɖom ɖe ŋuwò, eye wowɔ ɖoɖowo be woasẽ ŋuta le ŋuwò hã la, madze edzi na wo o,
12 Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, [when] thou shalt make ready [thy arrows] upon thy strings against the face of them.
elabena ne èdidi wò aŋutrɔ ɖe wo dzi la, woatrɔ ʋu me ade wò adzo.
13 Be thou exalted, LORD, in thy own strength: [so] will we sing and praise thy power.
Ède ŋgɔ, O! Yehowa, le wò ŋusẽ me; eya ta míadzi ha, eye míakafu wò ŋusẽ.
