Psalms 148
1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the hights.
Louez l'Éternel! Louez l'Éternel du haut des cieux; Louez-le dans les lieux très hauts!
2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
Louez-le, vous, tous ses anges! Louez-le, vous, toutes ses armées!
3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
Louez-le, soleil et lune; Louez-le, vous toutes, étoiles brillantes!
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that [are] above the heavens.
Louez-le, cieux des cieux, Et vous aussi, océans suspendus au-dessus des cieux!
5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.
Que toutes ces choses louent le nom de l'Éternel; Car il a commandé, et elles ont été créées.
6 He hath also established them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
Il les a établies pour toujours, à perpétuité; Il leur a donné une loi qu'elles ne violeront point.
7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
Louez l'Éternel, du sein de la terre, Vous, monstres marins, et vous tous, abîmes,
8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapors; stormy wind fulfilling his word:
Foudre et grêle, neige et vapeurs. Vents de tempête qui exécutez sa parole,
9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
Montagnes et collines. Arbres à fruits et vous tous, cèdres,
10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping animals, and flying fowl:
Bêtes sauvages et animaux de toute espèce. Reptiles, et vous, oiseaux qui volez dans l'espace,
11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
Rois de la terre, et vous tous, peuples, Princes et juges de la terre,
12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
Jeunes hommes, et vous, jeunes filles, Vieillards et enfants!
13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory [is] above the earth and heaven.
Qu'ils louent le nom de l'Éternel; Car son nom seul est grand: Sa majesté dépasse la terre et les cieux!
14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; [even] of the children of Israel, a people near to him. Praise ye the LORD.
Il a relevé la puissance de son peuple; Aussi montent vers lui les louanges de tous ses fidèles, Des enfants d'Israël, du peuple qui lui appartient. Louez l'Éternel!
