Psalms 142

1 Maschil of David; a prayer when he was in the cave. I cried to the LORD with my voice; with my voice to the LORD I made my supplication.

দাউদের মস্কীল। যখন তিনি গুহার মধ্যে ছিলেন। একটি প্রার্থনা। আমি জোর গলায় সদাপ্রভুর কাছে বিনতি করি; সদাপ্রভুর দয়ার জন্য আমি অনুনয় করি।

2 I poured out my complaint before him; I showed before him my trouble.

আমি তাঁর কাছে আমার অভিযোগের কথা প্রকট করি; তোমার সামনে আমার সংকটের কথা বলি।

3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way in which I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

যখন আমার আত্মা আমার অন্তরে ক্ষীণ হয়, তখন তুমিই আমার চলার পথে লক্ষ্য রাখো। যে পথে আমি চলি, লোকেরা সেই পথে আমার জন্য এক ফাঁদ পেতেছে।

4 I looked on [my] right hand, and beheld, but [there was] no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

তুমি চেয়ে দেখো, আমার ডানদিকে কেউ নেই; আমার জন্য কারও ভাবনা নেই, আমার কোনও আশ্রয় নেই; কেউই আমার জীবনের জন্য চিন্তা করে না।

5 I cried to thee, O LORD: I said, Thou [art] my refuge [and] my portion in the land of the living.

হে সদাপ্রভু, আমি তোমার কাছে কাঁদি, আমি বলি, “তুমিই আমার আশ্রয়, জীবিতদের দেশে তুমিই আমার অধিকার।”

6 Attend to my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

আমার কাতর প্রার্থনা শোনো, কারণ আমি নিদারুণ প্রয়োজনে রয়েছি; যারা আমাকে তাড়না করে, তাদের হাত থেকে আমাকে উদ্ধার করো, কারণ তারা আমার থেকেও বেশি শক্তিশালী।

7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall encompass me; for thou wilt deal bountifully with me.

আমাকে কারাগার থেকে মুক্ত করো, যেন আমি তোমার নামের প্রশংসা করতে পারি। তখন ধার্মিকেরা আমাকে ঘিরে ধরবে কারণ তুমি আমার প্রতি মঙ্গলময়।
