Psalms 132
1 A Song of degrees. LORD, remember David [and] all his afflictions;
Um Canto de Ascensões. Yahweh, lembre-se de David e de toda sua aflição,
2 How he swore to the LORD, [and] vowed to the mighty [God] of Jacob;
como ele jurou a Javé, e fez um voto ao Poderoso de Jacob:
3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;
“Certamente eu não entrarei na estrutura de minha casa, nem subir na minha cama;
4 I will not give sleep to my eyes, [or] slumber to my eyelids,
Não vou dar sono a meus olhos, ou dormir até minhas pálpebras,
5 Until I find a place for the LORD, a habitation for the mighty [God] of Jacob.
até encontrar um lugar para Yahweh, uma moradia para o Poderoso de Jacob”.
6 Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.
Veja, ouvimos falar disso em Ephrathah. Encontramo-lo no campo de Jaar.
7 We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.
“Entraremos em sua morada. Nós adoraremos a seus pés”.
8 Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.
Levante-se, Yahweh, em seu lugar de descanso, você, e a arca de suas forças.
9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.
Let seus padres sejam vestidos com retidão. Deixem seus santos gritar de alegria!
10 For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thy anointed.
Para o bem de seu servo David, não vire o rosto de seu ungido.
11 The LORD hath sworn [in] truth to David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
Yahweh jurou a David em verdade. Ele não se virará a partir disso: “Colocarei o fruto de seu corpo em seu trono”.
12 If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them; their children also shall sit upon thy throne for ever.
Se seus filhos mantiverem meu pacto, meu testemunho que lhes ensinarei, seus filhos também se sentarão em seu trono para sempre mais”.
13 For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired [it] for his habitation.
Para Yahweh escolheu Zion. Ele o desejou para sua moradia.
14 This [is] my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
“Este é meu lugar de descanso para sempre. Vou viver aqui, pois o desejei.
15 I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
Abençoarei abundantemente sua provisão. Vou satisfazer seus pobres com pão.
16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
I também vestirá seus padres com a salvação. Seus santos gritarão em voz alta de alegria.
17 There will I make the horn of David to bud, I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.
Vou fazer o chifre de David brotar ali. Ordenei uma lâmpada para meu ungido.
18 His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
Vestirei seus inimigos de vergonha, mas sobre si mesmo, sua coroa vai brilhar”.
