< Psalms 129 >
1 A Song of degrees. Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:
Sabo-Pionjonañe Beteke nisilofen-draho boak’ami’ty nahajalahy ahiko— ano ty hoe r’Israele—
2 Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.
Beteke niforeforèñe sikal’amy te izaho niajalahy, f’ie tsy nahagioke ahy.
3 The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.
Nitrabahe’ o mpitrabakeo ty sakamamovoko, nanoe’ iareo lava o vavahalioo.
4 The LORD [is] righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.
Vantañe t’Iehovà; navitso’e ty namahora’ o lo-tserekeo ahy.
5 Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
Hampolieñe an-kasalarañe ze malaiñe i Tsiône.
6 Let them be as the grass [upon] the house-tops, which withereth before it groweth up:
Ie hampanahafeñe ami’ty ahetse an-tafo traño eo, hiheatse aolo’ ty hibeiza’e,
7 With which the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves, his bosom.
toe tsy hahaeneñe ty fità’ i mpanatakey, ndra ty araña’ i mpifehe’ o fehe’eo.
8 Neither do they who go by, say, The blessing of the LORD [be] upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
Vaho tsy anoe’ o mpandrioñeo ty hoe: Ho ama’ areo ty fañanintsi’ Iehovà! Itatà’ay ami’ty tahina’ Iehovà!
