Psalms 122

1 A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

Cantique de Mahaloth, de David. Je me suis réjoui à cause de ceux qui me disaient: nous irons à la maison de l'Eternel.

2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

Nos pieds se sont arrêté en tes portes, ô Jérusalem!

3 Jerusalem is built as a city that is compact together:

Jérusalem, qui est bâtie comme une ville dont les habitants sont fort unis,

4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, to the testimony of Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.

A laquelle montent les Tribus, les Tribus de l'Eternel, ce qui est un témoignage à Israël, pour célébrer le Nom de l’Eternel.

5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

Car c'est là qu'ont été posés les sièges pour juger, les sièges, [dis-je], de la maison de David.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Priez pour la paix de Jérusalem; que ceux qui t'aiment jouissent de la prospérité.

7 Peace be within thy walls, [and] prosperity within thy palaces.

Que la paix soit à ton avant-mur, et la prospérité dans tes palais.

8 For my brethren and companions' sake, I will now say, Peace [be] within thee.

Pour l'amour de mes frères et de mes amis, je prierai maintenant pour ta paix.

9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.

A cause de la maison de l'Eternel notre Dieu je procurerai ton bien.
