< Psalms 120 >

1 A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried to the LORD, and he heard me.
Izaho niampoheke, le nikanjy Iehovà, vaho tinoi’e.
2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, [and] from a deceitful tongue.
O ry Iehovà, apitsoho an-tsoñin-dremborake ty fiaiko, boak’ ami’ty lela mamañahy.
3 What shall be given to thee? or what shall be done to thee, thou false tongue?
Inon-ty homeañ’ azo, ino ka ty hanoeñe ama’o ty lela letra’e tia?
4 Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
ana-pale masiom-panalolahy, naho forohan’ andrabey!
5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, [that] I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
Hankàñe amako te mañialo e Mèseke añe, naho ty fimoneñako an-kiboho’ i Kedàre ao!
6 My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
Loho hatr’ela’e ty nitraofam-piaiko ami’ty kivoho’ o malaim-pilongoañeo.
7 I [am] for peace: but when I speak, they [are] for war.
Toe mpitea filongoan-draho; fa ie ivolañako, aly avao ty onjone’ iereo.
