Psalms 118
1 O give thanks to the LORD; for [he is] good: because his mercy [endureth] for ever.
主に感謝せよ、主は恵みふかく、そのいつくしみはとこしえに絶えることがない。
2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy [endureth] for ever.
イスラエルは言え、「そのいつくしみはとこしえに絶えることがない」と。
3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy [endureth] for ever.
アロンの家は言え、「そのいつくしみはとこしえに絶えることがない」と。
4 Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy [endureth] for ever.
主をおそれる者は言え、「そのいつくしみはとこしえに絶えることがない」と。
5 I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, [and set me] in a large place.
わたしが悩みのなかから主を呼ぶと、主は答えて、わたしを広い所に置かれた。
6 The LORD [is] on my side; I will not fear: what can man do to me?
主がわたしに味方されるので、恐れることはない。人はわたしに何をなし得ようか。
7 The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see [my desire] upon them that hate me.
主はわたしに味方し、わたしを助けられるので、わたしを憎む者についての願いを見るであろう。
8 [It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
主に寄り頼むは人にたよるよりも良い。
9 [It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
主に寄り頼むはもろもろの君にたよるよりも良い。
10 All nations encompassed me: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.
もろもろの国民はわたしを囲んだ。わたしは主のみ名によって彼らを滅ぼす。
11 They encompassed me; yes, they encompassed me: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
彼らはわたしを囲んだ、わたしを囲んだ。わたしは主のみ名によって彼らを滅ぼす。
12 They encompassed me like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
彼らは蜂のようにわたしを囲み、いばらの火のように燃えたった。わたしは主のみ名によって彼らを滅ぼす。
13 Thou hast violently thrust at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.
わたしはひどく押されて倒れようとしたが、主はわたしを助けられた。
14 The LORD [is] my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
主はわが力、わが歌であって、わが救となられた。
15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation [is] in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
聞け、勝利の喜ばしい歌が正しい者の天幕にある。「主の右の手は勇ましいはたらきをなし、
16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
主の右の手は高くあがり、主の右の手は勇ましいはたらきをなす」。
17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.
わたしは死ぬことなく、生きながらえて、主のみわざを物語るであろう。
18 The LORD hath chastened me severely: but he hath not given me over to death.
主はいたくわたしを懲らされたが、死にはわたされなかった。
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will enter them, [and] I will praise the LORD:
わたしのために義の門を開け、わたしはその内にはいって、主に感謝しよう。
20 This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.
これは主の門である。正しい者はその内にはいるであろう。
21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
わたしはあなたに感謝します。あなたがわたしに答えて、わが救となられたことを。
22 The stone [which] the builders refused is become the head [stone] of the corner.
家造りらの捨てた石は隅のかしら石となった。
23 This is the LORD'S doing; it [is] wonderful in our eyes.
これは主のなされた事でわれらの目には驚くべき事である。
24 This [is] the day [which] the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
これは主が設けられた日であって、われらはこの日に喜び楽しむであろう。
25 Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
主よ、どうぞわれらをお救いください。主よ、どうぞわれらを栄えさせてください。
26 Blessed [be] he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.
主のみ名によってはいる者はさいわいである。われらは主の家からあなたをたたえます。
27 God [is] the LORD, who hath shown us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, [even] to the horns of the altar.
主は神であって、われらを照された。枝を携えて祭の行列を祭壇の角にまで進ませよ。
28 Thou [art] my God, and I will praise thee: [thou art] my God, I will exalt thee.
あなたはわが神、わたしはあなたに感謝します。あなたはわが神、わたしはあなたをあがめます。
29 O give thanks to the LORD; for [he is] good: for his mercy [endureth] for ever.
主に感謝せよ、主は恵みふかく、そのいつくしみはとこしえに絶えることがない。
