Psalms 111

1 Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with [my] whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and [in] the congregation.

Louvae ao Senhor. Louvarei ao Senhor de todo o meu coração, na assembléa dos justos e na congregação.

2 The works of the LORD [are] great, sought out by all them that have pleasure in them.

Grandes são as obras do Senhor, procuradas por todos os que n'elles tomam prazer.

3 His work [is] honorable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

A sua obra tem gloria e magestade, e a sua justiça permanece para sempre.

4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD [is] gracious and full of compassion.

Fez com que as suas maravilhas fossem lembradas: piedoso e misericordioso é o Senhor.

5 He hath given food to them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

Deu mantimento aos que o temem; lembrar-se-ha sempre do seu concerto.

6 He hath shown his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.

Annunciou ao seu povo o poder das suas obras, para lhe dar a herança das nações.

7 The works of his hands [are] verity and judgment; all his commandments [are] sure.

As obras das suas mãos são verdade e juizo, seguros todos os seus mandamentos.

8 They stand fast for ever and ever, [and are] done in truth and uprightness.

Permanecem firmes para sempre, e sempre; e são feitos em verdade e rectidão.

9 He sent redemption to his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend [is] his name.

Redempção enviou ao seu povo; ordenou o seu concerto para sempre; sancto e tremendo é o seu nome.

10 The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do [his commandments]: his praise endureth for ever.

O temor do Senhor é o principio da sabedoria: bom entendimento teem todos os que cumprem os seus mandamentos: o seu louvor permanece para sempre.
