< Psalms 111 >
1 Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with [my] whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and [in] the congregation.
Alleluia. Confitebor tibi Domine in toto corde meo: in consilio iustorum, et congregatione.
2 The works of the LORD [are] great, sought out by all them that have pleasure in them.
Magna opera Domini: exquisita in omnes voluntates eius.
3 His work [is] honorable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
Confessio et magnificentia opus eius: et iustitia eius manet in saeculum saeculi.
4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD [is] gracious and full of compassion.
Memoriam fecit mirabilium suorum, misericors et miserator Dominus:
5 He hath given food to them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.
escam dedit timentibus se. Memor erit in saeculum testamenti sui:
6 He hath shown his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.
virtutem operum suorum annunciabit populo suo:
7 The works of his hands [are] verity and judgment; all his commandments [are] sure.
Ut det illis hereditatem gentium: opera manuum eius veritas, et iudicium.
8 They stand fast for ever and ever, [and are] done in truth and uprightness.
Fidelia omnia mandata eius: confirmata in saeculum saeculi, facta in veritate et aequitate.
9 He sent redemption to his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend [is] his name.
Redemptionem misit populo suo: mandavit in aeternum testamentum suum. Sanctum, et terribile nomen eius:
10 The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do [his commandments]: his praise endureth for ever.
initium sapientiae timor Domini. Intellectus bonus omnibus facientibus eum: laudatio eius manet in saeculum saeculi.
