Psalms 111

1 Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with [my] whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and [in] the congregation.

Louez Yah! Je rendrai grâce à Yahvé de tout mon cœur, dans le conseil des hommes intègres et dans l'assemblée.

2 The works of the LORD [are] great, sought out by all them that have pleasure in them.

Les œuvres de Yahvé sont grandes, réfléchis par tous ceux qui les apprécient.

3 His work [is] honorable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

Son œuvre est honneur et majesté. Sa justice est éternelle.

4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD [is] gracious and full of compassion.

Il a fait en sorte qu'on se souvienne de ses merveilles. Yahvé est gracieux et miséricordieux.

5 He hath given food to them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

Il a donné de la nourriture à ceux qui le craignent. Il se souvient toujours de son engagement.

6 He hath shown his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.

Il a montré à son peuple la puissance de ses œuvres, en leur donnant l'héritage des nations.

7 The works of his hands [are] verity and judgment; all his commandments [are] sure.

Les œuvres de ses mains sont la vérité et la justice. Tous ses préceptes sont sûrs.

8 They stand fast for ever and ever, [and are] done in truth and uprightness.

Ils sont établis pour toujours et à jamais. Ils sont faits dans la vérité et la droiture.

9 He sent redemption to his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend [is] his name.

Il a envoyé la rédemption à son peuple. Il a établi son alliance pour toujours. Son nom est saint et impressionnant!

10 The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do [his commandments]: his praise endureth for ever.

La crainte de Yahvé est le commencement de la sagesse. Tous ceux qui font son travail ont une bonne compréhension. Sa louange est éternelle!
