Psalms 108

1 A Song [or] Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

Ein Lied, ein Psalm Davids. Mein Herz ist bereit, o Gott, ich will singen, will Psalmen singen, auch meine Herrlichkeit.

2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I [myself] will awake early.

Psalter und Harfe wachet auf, ich will das Morgenrot wecken.

3 I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises to thee among the nations.

Ich will Dich bekennen, Jehovah, unter den Völkern, und Dir Psalmen singen unter den Volksstämmen.

4 For thy mercy [is] great above the heavens: and thy truth [reacheth] to the clouds.

Denn über die Himmel groß ist Deine Barmherzigkeit, und Deine Wahrheit bis an die Ätherkreise.

5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

Erhöhe Dich über die Himmel, o Gott, und über die ganze Erde Deine Herrlichkeit.

6 That thy beloved may be delivered: save [with] thy right hand, and answer me.

Auf daß gerettet werden Deine Lieben, rette mit Deiner Rechten und antworte mir.

7 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.

Gott hat geredet in Seiner Heiligkeit: Ich will jauchzen, Ich will Schechem verteilen und den Talgrund Sukkoth ausmessen.

8 Gilead [is] mine; Manasseh [is] mine; Ephraim also [is] the strength of my head; Judah [is] my lawgiver;

Mein ist Gilead, Mein Menascheh, und Ephraim ist Meines Hauptes Stärke, Mein Gesetzgeber Jehudah!

9 Moab [is] my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.

Moab, der Topf Meines Waschens, über Edom werfe Ich Meinen Schuh, über Philistäa will Ich jubeln.

10 Who will bring me into the strong city: who will lead me into Edom?

Wer wird mich geleiten zu der festen Stadt, wer mich bis Edom führen?

11 [Wilt] not [thou], O God, [who] hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our armies?

Nicht Du, o Gott, Der Du uns verstoßen, und nicht auszogst, o Gott in unseren Heerscharen?

12 Give us help from trouble: for vain [is] the help of man.

Gib Du uns Beistand von dem Dränger. Ist eitel doch das Heil des Menschen.

13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he will tread down our enemies.

Mit Gott wollen wir Tapferes tun; und Er zertritt unsere Dränger.
