Psalms 108

1 A Song [or] Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

Píseň a žalm Davidův. Hotovo jest srdce mé, Bože, zpívati a oslavovati tě budu, také i sláva má.

2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I [myself] will awake early.

Probuď se loutno a harfo, když v svitání povstávám.

3 I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises to thee among the nations.

Slaviti tě budu mezi lidmi, Hospodine, a tobě žalmy prozpěvovati mezi národy.

4 For thy mercy [is] great above the heavens: and thy truth [reacheth] to the clouds.

Nebo nad nebesa větší jest milosrdenství tvé, a až k nejvyšším oblakům pravda tvá.

5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

Vyvyšiž se nad nebesa, ó Bože, a nade všecku zemi sláva tvá.

6 That thy beloved may be delivered: save [with] thy right hand, and answer me.

Ať jsou vysvobozeni milí tvoji, zachovávejž je pravicí svou, a vyslyš mne.

7 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.

Bůh mluvil skrze svatost svou; veseliti se budu, že budu děliti Sichem, a údolí Sochot že rozměřím.

8 Gilead [is] mine; Manasseh [is] mine; Ephraim also [is] the strength of my head; Judah [is] my lawgiver;

Můjť jest Galád, můj i Manasses, a Efraim síla hlavy mé, Juda učitel můj.

9 Moab [is] my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.

Moáb medenice k umývání mému, na Edoma uvrhu obuv svou, proti Palestině troubiti budu.

10 Who will bring me into the strong city: who will lead me into Edom?

Kdo mne uvede do města hrazeného? Kdo mne zprovodí až do Idumejské země?

11 [Wilt] not [thou], O God, [who] hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our armies?

Zdali ne ty, ó Bože, kterýž jsi nás byl zavrhl, a nevycházels, ó Bože, s vojsky našimi?

12 Give us help from trouble: for vain [is] the help of man.

Uděliž nám pomoci proti nepříteli, nebo marná jest pomoc lidská.

13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he will tread down our enemies.

V Bohu udatně sobě počínati budeme, a on pošlapá nepřátely naše.
