Proverbs 26
1 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest; so honor is not seemly for a fool.
Язда қар йеғиш, Орма вақтида ямғур йеғиш қамлашмиғандәк, Иззәт-һөрмәт ахмаққа лайиқ әмәстур.
2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.
Ләйләп учуп жүргән қучқачтәк, Учқан қарлиғач йәргә қонмиғандәк, Сәвәпсиз қарғиш кишигә зиян кәлтүрәлмәс.
3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back.
Атқа қамча, ешәккә нохта лазим болғинидәк, Ахмақниң дүмбисигә таяқ лайиқтур.
4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like him.
Ахмақниң әхмиқанә гепи бойичә униңға җавап бәрмигин, Җавап бәрсәң өзүң униңға охшап қелишиң мүмкин.
5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.
Ахмақниң әхмиқанә гепи бойичә униңға җавап бәргин, Җавап бәрмисәң у өзиниң ахмақлиғини әқиллиқ дәп чағлар.
6 He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, [and] drinketh damage.
Өз путини кесивәткәндәк, Өз бешиға зулмәт тилигәндәк, Ахмақтин хәвәр йоллашму шундақ бир иштур.
7 The legs of the lame are not equal: so [is] a parable in the mouth of fools.
Токурниң карға кәлмигән путлиридәк, Ахмақниң ағзиға селинған пәнд-несиһәтму бекар болур.
8 As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so [is] he that giveth honor to a fool.
Салғиға ташни бағлап атқандәк, Ахмаққа һөрмәт билдүрүшму әхмиқанә иштур.
9 [As] a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so [is] a parable in the mouth of fools.
Ахмақниң ағзиға селинған пәнд-несиһәт, Мәсниң қолиға санҗилған тикәндәктур.
10 The great [God] that formed all [things] both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.
Өз йеқинлирини қарисиға зәхимләндүргән оқячидәк, Ахмақни яки удул кәлгән адәмни яллап ишләткән ғоҗайинму охшашла зәхимләндүргүчидур.
11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, [so] a fool returneth to his folly.
Ишт айлинип келип өз қусуғини ялиғандәк, Ахмақ ахмақлиғини қайтилар.
12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? [there is] more hope of a fool than of him.
Өзини дана чағлап мәмнун болған кишини көрдүңму? Униңға үмүт бағлимақтин ахмаққа үмүт бағлимақ әвзәлдур.
13 The slothful [man] saith, [There is] a lion in the way; a lion [is] in the streets.
Һорун адәм: — «Ташқирида дәһшәтлик бир шир туриду, Кочида бир шир жүриду!» — дәп [өйдин чиқмас].
14 [As] the door turneth upon its hinges, so [doth] the slothful upon his bed.
Өз муҗуқида ечилип-йепилип турған ишиккә охшаш, Һорун кариватта йетип у яқ-бу яққа өрүлмәктә.
15 The slothful hideth [his] hand in [his] bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth.
Һорун қолини сунуп қачиға тиққини билән, Ғизани ағзиға селиштинму еринәр.
16 The sluggard [is] wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.
Һорун өзини пәм билән җавап бәргүчи йәттә кишидинму дана санар.
17 He that passeth by, [and] meddleth with strife [belonging] not to him, [is like] one that taketh a dog by the ears.
Кочида келиветип, өзигә мунасивәтсиз маҗираға арилашқан киши, Иштниң қулиқини тутуп созғанға охшаш хәтәргә дучар болар.
18 As a mad [man] who casteth fire-brands, arrows, and death,
Өз йеқинлирини алдап «Пәқәт чақчақ қилип қойдум!» дәйдиған киши, Отқашларни, оқларни, һәр хил әҗәллик қуралларни атқан тәлвигә охшайду.
19 So [is] the man [that] deceiveth his neighbor, and saith, Am not I in sport?
20 Where no wood is, [there] the fire goeth out: so where [there is] no tale-bearer, the strife ceaseth.
Отун болмиса от өчәр; Ғәйвәт болмиса, җедәл бесилар.
21 [As] coals [are] to burning coals, and wood to fire; so [is] a contentious man to kindle strife.
Чоғлар үстигә чачқан көмүрдәк, От үстигә қойған отундәк, җедәлчи җедәлни улғайтар.
22 The words of a tale-bearer [are] as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
Ғәйвәтхорниң сөзлири һәр хил назу-немәтләрдәк, Кишиниң қәлбигә чоңқур сиңдүрүләр.
23 Burning lips and a wicked heart [are like] a potsherd covered with silver dross.
Ялқунлуқ ләвләр рәзил көңүлләргә қошулғанда, Сапал қачиға күмүч һәл бәргәнгә охшаштур.
24 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him;
Адавәт сақлайдиған адәм өчини гәплири билән япсиму, Көңлидә қат-қат сүйқәст сақлайду.
25 When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for [there are] seven abominations in his heart.
Униң сөзи чирайлиқ болсиму, ишинип кәтмигин; Қәлбидә йәттә қат ипласлиқ бардур.
26 [Whose] hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shown before the [whole] congregation.
У өчмәнлигини чирайлиқ гәп билән япсиму, Лекин рәзиллиги җамаәтниң алдида ашкарилинар.
27 Whoever diggeth a pit shall fall into it: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.
Кишигә ора колиған өзи чүшәр; Ташни домилатқан кишини таш думилап қайтип келип уни янҗар.
28 A lying tongue hateth [those that are] afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.
Сахта тил өзи зиянкәшлик қилған кишиләргә нәпрәтлинәр; Хушамәт қилғучи еғиз адәмни һалакәткә иштирәр.
