Proverbs 26
1 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest; so honor is not seemly for a fool.
১গ্রীষ্ম কালত বৰফ, আৰু শস্য দোৱাৰ সময়ত বৃষ্টি যেনে, সেইদৰে অজ্ঞানীয়ে সন্মান পোৱাৰ যোগ্য নহয়।
2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.
২যিদৰে ঘৰ চিৰিকাই জাপ মাৰি মাৰি খোৱা বস্তু গিলি ক্ষিপ্র গতিত উৰি যায়, সেইদৰে অকাৰণে দিয়া শাও প্রজ্বলিত নহয়।
3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back.
৩ঘোঁৰাৰ বাবে চাবুক আৰু গাধৰ বাবে লাগাম, আৰু অজ্ঞানীসকলৰ পিঠিৰ বাবে চেকনী।
4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like him.
৪অজ্ঞানীক উত্তৰ নিদিবা, আৰু অজ্ঞানীৰ অজ্ঞানতাত সহযোগ নকৰিবা; নহ’লে তুমি তেওঁৰ দৰেই হ’বা।
5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.
৫অজ্ঞানীক উত্তৰ দিয়া আৰু তেওঁৰ অজ্ঞানতাত সহযোগ কৰা; সেয়ে তেওঁ নিজৰ দৃষ্টিত জ্ঞানী বোধ নকৰিব।
6 He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, [and] drinketh damage.
৬যি জনে অজ্ঞানী লোকৰ হাতত বাৰ্ত্তা পঠিয়াই, তেওঁ নিজৰ ভৰি নিজে কাটি পেলায়, আৰু অত্যাচাৰ ভোগ কৰে।
7 The legs of the lame are not equal: so [is] a parable in the mouth of fools.
৭জঠৰ ৰোগীৰ ভৰি যিদৰে তললৈ ওলমি থাকে, অজ্ঞানীসকলৰ মুখত নীতিবাক্যও সেইদৰে।
8 As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so [is] he that giveth honor to a fool.
৮ফিঙ্গাত শিল বন্ধা যেনে, অজ্ঞানীক সন্মান দিয়াও তেনে।
9 [As] a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so [is] a parable in the mouth of fools.
৯মতলীয়াৰ হাতত বিন্ধা কাঁইট যেনে, অজ্ঞানীৰ মুখত নীতিবাক্যও তেনে।
10 The great [God] that formed all [things] both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.
১০ধনুৰ্দ্ধৰে যিদৰে সকলোকে আঘাত কৰে, কোনো এজনে অজ্ঞানী, বা বাটৰুৱাক মজুৰি কৰোৱাও তেনে।
11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, [so] a fool returneth to his folly.
১১কুকুৰে যিদৰে নিজৰ বমি পুনৰ খায়, তেনেদৰে অজ্ঞানীয়ে পুনৰ অজ্ঞানতাৰ কাম কৰে।
12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? [there is] more hope of a fool than of him.
১২নিজকে নিজে জ্ঞানী বুলি ভবা মানুহ তুমি দেখিছা নে? তেওঁতকৈ অজ্ঞানীৰ বাবে বহুতো আশা আছে।
13 The slothful [man] saith, [There is] a lion in the way; a lion [is] in the streets.
১৩এলেহুৱা ব্যক্তিয়ে কয়, “বাটত এটা সিংহ আছে! মুকলি ঠাইৰ মাজত এটা সিংহ আছে।”
14 [As] the door turneth upon its hinges, so [doth] the slothful upon his bed.
১৪দুৱাৰ যেনেকৈ কবজাত ঘুৰে, এলেহুৱা ব্যক্তিও তেনেকৈ নিজৰ শোৱাপাটিত বাগৰে।
15 The slothful hideth [his] hand in [his] bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth.
১৫এলেহুৱা এজনে পাত্ৰত থকা আহাৰত হাত সুমুৱাই দিয়ে, কিন্তু তেওঁৰ মুখলৈ সেই আহাৰ নিবলৈ শক্তি নাথাকে।
16 The sluggard [is] wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.
১৬সাত জন বুদ্ধিমান ব্যক্তিতকৈ এলেহুৱা লোকে নিজৰ দৃষ্টিত নিজকে জ্ঞানী বুলি ভাবে।
17 He that passeth by, [and] meddleth with strife [belonging] not to him, [is like] one that taketh a dog by the ears.
১৭কুকুৰৰ কাণত ধৰা লোকৰ যেনে, বাটৰুৱাই আনৰ বিবাদত ক্রোধিত হোৱা তেনে।
18 As a mad [man] who casteth fire-brands, arrows, and death,
১৮জ্বলন্ত কাঁড় মৰা জন যেনে,
19 So [is] the man [that] deceiveth his neighbor, and saith, Am not I in sport?
১৯নিজৰ চুবুৰীয়াক প্ৰতাৰণা কৰা জনো তেনে, আৰু তেওঁ কয়, “মই জানো ধেমালি কৰা নাই?”
20 Where no wood is, [there] the fire goeth out: so where [there is] no tale-bearer, the strife ceaseth.
২০যেনেকৈ খৰিৰ অভাৱত জুই নুমায় যায়, তেনেকৈ পৰচৰ্চ্চাকাৰী নহ’লে কন্দলো নহয়।
21 [As] coals [are] to burning coals, and wood to fire; so [is] a contentious man to kindle strife.
২১জ্বলি থকা আঙঠাৰ বাবে কাঠকয়লা আৰু জুইৰ বাবে খৰি যেনে, বিবাদত ইন্ধন যোগাবলৈ দ্বন্দুৰা লোক তেনে।
22 The words of a tale-bearer [are] as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
২২পৰচৰ্চ্চাকাৰীৰ কথা সুস্বাদু আহাৰৰ দৰে; সেয়ে শৰীৰৰ ভিতৰলৈকে সোমাই যায়।
23 Burning lips and a wicked heart [are like] a potsherd covered with silver dross.
২৩জ্বলন্ত ওঁঠ আৰু দুষ্টৰ হৃদয়, মাটিৰ পাত্ৰত সানি দিয়া জিলিকনিৰ দৰে।
24 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him;
২৪যি জনে ওঁঠে প্রকাশ কৰা কথা ঘিণ কৰে, তেওঁ নিজৰ ভিতৰত প্ৰতাৰণা স্থাপন কৰে;
25 When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for [there are] seven abominations in his heart.
২৫তেওঁ অমায়িভাবে কথা ক’ব, কিন্তু তেওঁক বিশ্বাস নকৰিবা, কাৰণ তেওঁৰ হৃদয়ত ঘিণলগীয়া বস্তু সাতটা থাকে;
26 [Whose] hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shown before the [whole] congregation.
২৬যদিও তেওঁৰ ঘৃণা কপটেৰে ঢকা, তথাপি তেওঁৰ দুষ্টতা সমাজত প্ৰকাশিত হ’ব।
27 Whoever diggeth a pit shall fall into it: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.
২৭যি কোনোৱে খাল খানে, তেঁৱেই সেই খালত পৰিব; আৰু যি কোনোৱে শিল ঠেলি পঠায়, তেওঁলৈ সেই শিল ঘূৰি আহিব।
28 A lying tongue hateth [those that are] afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.
২৮মিছলীয়া জিভাই দমন কৰা লোকক ঘিণ কৰে, আৰু আত্মতৃপ্তিকৰ মুখে নিজলৈ বিনাশ আনে।
