Proverbs 25
1 These [are] also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.
၁ယုဒရှင်ဘုရင် ဟေဇကိလူတို့ကူးရေးသော ရှောလမုန်မင်း၏ သုတ္တံစကားဟူမူကား၊
2 [It is] the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings [is] to search out a matter.
၂အမှုအရေးကို ဝှက်ထားခြင်းသည် ဘုရားသခင် ၏ ဘုန်းတော်နှင့် သင်၏။ ရှင်ဘုရင်မူကား၊ အမှုအရေးကို စစ်ကြောခြင်းအားဖြင့် ဂုဏ်အသရေတည်၏။
3 The heaven for hight, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings [is] unsearchable.
၃မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင်သည် မြင့်၏။ မြေကြီးသည် နက်၏။ ရှင်ဘုရင်နှလုံးကိုလည်း စစ်၍မသိနိုင်။
4 Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.
၄ငွေထဲက ချော်ကိုထုတ်ပယ်လျှင်၊ ပန်တိမ်သမား နှင့် တော်သင့်သောဖလားကို ရလိမ့်မည်။
5 Take away the wicked [from] before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
၅မတရားသော သူတို့ကို ရှင်ဘုရင်ထံတော်မှ ပယ်ရှားလျှင်၊ အာဏာတော်သည် တရားအားဖြင့် တည် လိမ့်မည်။
6 Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great [men]:
၆ရှင်ဘုရင်ထံ တော်၌ ကိုယ်ကိုမချီးမြှောက်နှင့်။ လူကြီးနေရာ၌ မနေနှင့်။
7 For better [it is] that it be said to thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldst be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thy eyes have seen.
၇အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ဖူးမြင်ရသောမင်းရှေ့မှာ နှိမ်ခြင်းကို ခံရသည်ထက်၊ ဤအရပ်သို့ တက်ပါဟူသော စကားကို သာ၍ကြားကောင်း၏။
8 Go not forth hastily to strive, lest [thou know not] what to do in the end thereof, when thy neighbor hath put thee to shame.
၈အလျင်အမြန် ရန်မတွေ့နှင့်။ အိမ်နီးချင်းသည် သင့်ကို အရှက်ခွဲပြီးမှ၊ သင်သည် အဘယ်သို့ ပြုမည်နည်း။
9 Debate thy cause with thy neighbor [himself]; and reveal not a secret to another:
၉သင်သည် အိမ်နီးချင်းနှင့် ကိုယ်အမှုကို ဆွေး နွှေးလော့။ ဝှက်ထားအပ်သောအမှုအရာကို သူတပါးအား ထုတ်၍မပြနှင့်။
10 Lest he that heareth [it] put thee to shame, and thy infamy turn not away.
၁၀သို့မဟုတ်၊ သူသည် သင့်ကို အရှက်ခွဲသဖြင့်၊ သင်၏ဂုဏ်အသရေသည် အစဉ်ဆုံးလိမ့်မည်။
11 A word fitly spoken [is like] apples of gold in pictures of silver.
၁၁လျောက်ပတ်သော စကားသည် ငွေအပြောက် မှာ စီချယ်သော ရွှေရှောက်ချိုသီးနှင့်တူ၏။
12 [As] an ear-ring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, [so is] a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.
၁၂နားထောင်တတ်သောသူကို လျောက်ပတ်စွာ ဆုံးမတတ်သော သူသည် ရွှေနားတောင်းကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ ရွှေစင်တန်ဆာကဲ့သို့၎င်း ဖြစ်၏။
13 As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, [so is] a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.
၁၃စပါးရိတ်ရာကာလ၌ မိုဃ်းပွင့်ကြောင့် ချမ်း သကဲ့သို့၊ သစ္စာစောင့်သော တမန်သည် စေလွှတ်သောသူ ၌ ဖြစ်၍၊ သခင်စိတ်ကို ချမ်းဧစေတတ်၏။
14 Whoever boasteth himself of a false gift [is like] clouds and wind without rain.
၁၄ပေးမည်ဟု ဝါကြွား၍ မပေးဘဲနေသောသူ သည် မိုဃ်းရေမပါသော တိမ်နှင့်လေကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၏။
15 By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.
၁၅ကြာမြင့်စွာသည်းခံလျှင် မင်းကိုဖျောင်းဖျနိုင်၏။ ချိုသောစကားသည်လည်း အရိုးကျိုးအောင်တတ်နိုင်၏။
16 Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled with it, and vomit it.
၁၆ပျားရည်ကိုတွေ့သလော။ ဝရုံသာစားတော့။ အစားကြူးလျှင် ရင်ပြည့်၍ အန်ရလိမ့်မည်။
17 Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbor's house; lest he be weary of thee, and [so] hate thee.
၁၇သင်၏အိမ်နီးချင်းအိမ်၌ ကြာမြင့်စွာ မနေနှင့်။ နေလျှင် သူသည် သင့်ကိုငြီးငွေ့၍ မုန်းလိမ့်မည်။
18 A man that beareth false witness against his neighbor [is] a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.
၁၈အိမ်နီးချင်းတဘက်၌ မမှန်သောသက်သေကို ခံသောသူသည် ဒုတ်၊ ထား၊ သံချွန်နှင့်တူ၏။
19 Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble [is like] a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.
၁၉အမှုရောက်သော ကာလ၌ သစ္စာပျက်တတ်သောသူ ကို ယုံလျှင် သွားကျိုးခြင်း၊ ခြေဆစ်ပြုတ်ခြင်းကို ခံရ၏။
20 [As] he that taketh away a garment in cold weather, [and as] vinegar upon nitre; so [is] he that singeth songs to a heavy heart.
၂၀စိတ်ညှိုးငယ်သောသူအား သီချင်းဆိုသောသူ သည် ဆောင်းကာလ၌ အဝတ်ကို ချွတ်သောသူ၊ ယမ်းစိမ်းပေါ်မှာ ပုံးရည်ကို လောင်းသောသူနှင့်တူ၏။
21 If thy enemy shall hunger, give him bread to eat; and if he shall thirst, give him water to drink:
၂၁သင်၏ရန်သူသည် မွတ်သိပ်လျှင် လုပ်ကျွေး လော့။ ရေငတ်လျှင် သောက်စရာဘို့ပေးလော့။
22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD will reward thee.
၂၂ထိုသို့ပြုလျှင် သူ၏ခေါင်းပေါ်၌ မီးခဲကို ပုံထား ၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည်လည်း၊ သင်၌ ဆုချတော်မူမည်။
23 The north wind driveth away rain: so [doth] an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.
၂၃မြောက်လေသည် မိုဃ်းရေကို ဆောင်တတ် သကဲ့သို့၊ ကုန်းတိုက်သောလျှာသည် ဒေါသမျက်နှာကို ဆောင်တတ်၏။
24 [It is] better to dwell in a corner of the house-top, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.
၂၄ရန်တွေ့တတ်သောမိန်းမနှင့် လူများသော အိမ်၌ နေသည်ထက်၊ အိမ်မိုးပေါ် ထောင့်ထဲမှာနေသော် သာ၍ကောင်း၏။
25 [As] cold waters to a thirsty soul, so [is] good news from a far country.
၂၅ဝေးသောပြည်မှ ရောက်လာသော ဝမ်းမြောက် စရာ သိတင်းစကားသည် ရေငတ်သောသူ၌ ချမ်းဧသော ရေကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်၏။
26 A righteous man falling down before the wicked [is as] a turbid fountain, and a corrupt spring.
၂၆ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူသည် မတရားသောသူရှေ့ တွင် မှားယွင်းလျှင်၊ နောက်သောရေကန်၊ ပုပ်သောစမ်း ရေတွင်းနှင့်တူ၏။
27 [It is] not good to eat much honey: so [for men] to search their own glory [is not] glory.
၂၇ပျားရည်ကို စားကြူးလျှင် မကောင်းသကဲ့သို့၊ ကိုယ်ဂုဏ်သရေကို ရှာလျှင် ဂုဏ်အသရေမရှိ။
28 He that [hath] no rule over his own spirit [is like] a city [that is] broken down, [and] without walls.
၂၈ကိုယ်စိတ်ကို မချုပ်တည်းနိုင်သောသူသည် မြို့ရိုးပျိုပျက်၍ ဟင်းလင်းရှိသော မြို့နှင့်တူ၏။
