< Proverbs 22 >
1 A [good] name [is] rather to be chosen than great riches, [and] loving favor rather than silver and gold.
An fi son suna mai kyau fiye da wadata mai yawa; tagomashi kuma ya fi azurfa ko zinariya.
2 The rich and poor meet together: the LORD [is] the maker of them all.
Mawadaci da matalauci suna da abu guda. Ubangiji ne Mahaliccinsu duka.
3 A prudent [man] foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.
Mai basira kan ga damuwa tana zuwa yă nemi mafaka, amma marar azanci kan yi ta tafiya yă kuma sha wahala.
4 By humility [and] the fear of the LORD [are] riches, and honor, and life.
Sauƙinkai da tsoron Ubangiji sukan kawo wadata da girmamawa da kuma rai.
5 Thorns [and] snares [are] in the way of the froward: he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them.
A hanyoyin mugu akwai kaya da tarko, amma duk wanda ya kiyaye ransa kan kauce musu.
6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Ka hori yaro a hanyar da ya kamata yă bi, kuma sa’ad da ya tsufa ba zai bar ta ba.
7 The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower [is] servant to the lender.
Mawadaci yakan yi mulki a kan matalauci, mai cin bashi kuwa bawan mai ba da bashi ne.
8 He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail.
Duk wanda ya shuka mugunta yakan girbe wahala, za a kuma hallaka sandar fushinsa.
9 He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.
Mai bayarwa hannu sake shi kansa zai sami albarka, gama yakan raba abincinsa da matalauta.
10 Cast out the scorner, and contention shall end; yes, strife and reproach shall cease.
Ka hori mai ba’a, hatsaniya kuwa za tă yi waje; fitina da zargi kuma za su ƙare.
11 He that loveth pureness of heart, [for] the grace of his lips the king [shall be] his friend.
Duk mai son tsabtar zuciya wanda kuma jawabinsa mai alheri ne zai zama aminin sarki.
12 The eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge, and he overthroweth the words of the transgressor.
Idanun Ubangiji na lura da sani, amma yakan ƙi kalmomin marar aminci.
13 The slothful [man] saith, [There is] a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.
Rago kan ce, “Akwai zaki a waje!” Ko kuma “Za a kashe ni a tituna!”
14 The mouth of strange women [is] a deep pit: he that is abhorred by the LORD shall fall therein.
Bakin mazinaciya rami ne mai zurfi; duk wanda yake a ƙarƙashin fushin Ubangiji zai fāɗa a ciki.
15 Foolishness [is] bound in the heart of a child; [but] the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
Wauta tana da yawa a zuciyar yara, amma sandar horo zai kore ta nesa da su.
16 He that oppresseth the poor to increase his [riches], [and] he that giveth to the rich, [shall] surely [come] to want.
Duk wanda yake danne matalauta don yă azurta kuma duk wanda yake kyauta ga mawadata, dukansu kan talauta.
17 Bow down thy ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thy heart to my knowledge.
Ka kasa kunne ka kuma saurara ga maganganu masu hikima; ka yi amfani da abin da nake koyarwa,
18 For [it is] a pleasant thing if thou keepest them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips.
gama yana da daɗi sa’ad da ka kiyaye su a zuciyarka ka kuma kasance da su a shirye a leɓunanka.
19 That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee.
Domin dogarawarka ta kasance ga Ubangiji, ina koya maka yau, har kai ma.
20 Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge,
Ban rubuta maka maganganu talatin ba, maganganun shawara da sani,
21 That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send to thee?
ina koya maka gaskiya da kalmomin da za ka dogara a kai, saboda ka iya ba da amsa daidai ga duk wanda ya aike ka?
22 Rob not the poor, because he [is] poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:
Kada ka zalunci matalauta a kan suna matalauta kada kuma ka ƙwari wanda ba shi da mai taimako a gaban shari’a,
23 For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them.
gama Ubangiji zai yi magana dominsu zai kuwa washe waɗanda suka washe su.
24 Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:
Kada ka yi abokantaka da mai zafin rai, kada ka haɗa kai da wanda ba shi da wuya ya yi fushi,
25 Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.
in ba haka ba za ka koyi hanyoyinsa ka kuma sa kanka a tarko.
26 Be not thou [one] of them that strike hands, [or] of them that are sureties for debts.
Kada ka zama mai ɗaukar lamuni ko ka ba da jingina saboda bashi;
27 If thou hast nothing to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee?
gama in ka kāsa biya za a ƙwace gadon da kake kwanciya a kai ma.
28 Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.
Kada ka matsar da shaidar kan iyakar da kakanninka suka kafa.
29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean [men].
Kana ganin mutumin da yake da gwaninta a cikin aikinsa? Zai yi wa sarakuna hidima; ba zai yi hidima wa mutanen da ba su iya ba.
