< Proverbs 21 >
1 The king's heart [is] in the hand of the LORD, [as] the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
Rano velona eo an-tànan’ i Jehovah ny fon’ ny mpanjaka, Ka tarihiny amin’ izay tiany.
2 Every way of a man [is] right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
Ataon’ ny olona ho marina avokoa ny lalana rehetra alehany; Fa Jehovah ihany no Mpandanja ny fo.
3 To do justice and judgment [is] more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
Ny hanao izay marina sy mahitsy No sitrak’ i Jehovah mihoatra noho ny fanatitra alatsa-drà.
4 A high look, and a proud heart, [and] the plowing of the wicked, [is] sin.
Ny fiandranandran’ ny maso sy ny fiavonavon’ ny fo Izay jiron’ ny ratsy fanahy dia ota.
5 The thoughts of the diligent [tend] only to plenteousness; but of every one [that is] hasty only to want.
Ny hevitry ny mazoto dia mampanan-karena; Fa ny maimaika rehetra dia halahelo ihany.
6 The getting of treasures by a lying tongue [is] a vanity tossed to and fro by them that seek death.
Ny fahazoan-karena amin’ ny lela mandainga Dia fofonaina mihelina ho an’ izay mitady fahafatesana.
7 The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.
Ny fitohatohan’ ny ratsy fanahy hamongotra azy, Satria mandà tsy hanao izay marina izy.
8 The way of man [is] froward and strange: but [as for] the pure, his work [is] right.
Miolikolika ny lalan’ ny mavesa-keloka; Fa mahitsy ny ataon’ ny madio.
9 [It is] better to dwell in a corner of the house-top, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
Aleo mitoetra eo an-joron’ ny tampon-trano Toy izay hiray trano amin’ ny vehivavy tia ady.
10 The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbor findeth no favor in his eyes.
Ny fanahin’ ny ratsy fanahy maniry ny ratsy, Ka na dia ny havany aza tsy mahita fitia eo imasony.
11 When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.
Raha ampijalina ny mpaniratsira, dia ho hendry ny kely saina; Ary raha toroan-kevitra ny hendry, dia hahazo fahalalana izy.
12 The righteous [man] wisely considereth the house of the wicked: [but God] overthroweth the wicked for [their] wickedness.
Ny Iray Marina no mandinika ny tranon’ ny ratsy fanahy Ka mamarina azy ho amin’ ny loza.
13 Whoever stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
Izay manentsin-tadiny amin’ ny fitarainan’ ny malahelo, Dia mba hitaraina kosa izy, fa tsy hohenoina.
14 A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom, strong wrath.
Ny fanomezana mangingina mampionona ny fahatezerana, Ary ny kolikoly amin’ ny takona mampitsahatra ny fahavinirana mafy.
15 [It is] joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction [shall be] to the workers of iniquity.
Fifalian’ ny marina ny hanao araka ny rariny; Fa zava-mahatahotra ny mpanao ratsy kosa izany.
16 The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.
Ny olona izay mivily miala amin’ ny lalan’ ny fahendrena Dia hitoetra ao amin’ ny fivorian’ ny fanahin’ ny maty.
17 He that loveth pleasure [shall be] a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.
Izay tia fanaranam-po dia olona halahelo, Eny, izay tia divay sy diloilo tsy mba hanan-karena.
18 The wicked [shall be] a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.
Ny ratsy fanahy dia ho avotry ny marina, Ary ny mpivadika ho solon’ ny mahitsy.
19 [It is] better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.
Aleo mitoetra any an-efitra Toy izay amin’ ny vehivavy tia ady sady foizina.
20 [There is] a treasure to be desired, and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.
Harena mahafinaritra sy diloilo no ao amin’ ny tranon’ ny hendry; Fa ny adala mandany azy.
21 He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honor.
Izay fatra-panaraka fahamarinana sy famindram-po Dia hahazo fiainana sy fahamarinana ary voninahitra.
22 A wise [man] scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of its confidence.
Ny hendry mananika ny vohitry ny mahery Ka mandrodana ny fiarovana mafy izay itokiany.
23 Whoever keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
Izay miambina ny vavany sy ny lelany Dia miaro ny fanahiny tsy ho azom-pahoriana.
24 Proud [and] haughty scorner [is] his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.
Izay mirehareha sy miavonavona no atao hoe mpaniratsira, Dia izay olona fatra-piavonavona.
25 The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labor.
Ny fanirian’ ny malaina hahafaty azy, Satria ny tànany tsy mety miasa tsinona;
26 He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.
Maniry fatratra mandritra ny andro izy; Fa ny marina kosa manome ka tsy mba mahihitra.
27 The sacrifice of the wicked [is] abomination: how much more, [when] he bringeth it with a wicked mind?
Ny fanatitry ny ratsy fanahy dia fahavetavetana, Ka indrindra raha amin’ ny sain-dratsy no itondrany azy.
28 A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly.
Ho faty ny vavolombelona mandainga; Fa izay mihaino dia hiteny mandrakariva.
29 A wicked man hardeneth his face: but [as for] the upright, he directeth his way.
Ny ratsy fanahy mampiseho ny fahasahisahiany amin’ ny tarehiny; Fa ny marina kosa dia mihevitra izay halehany.
30 [There is] no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
Tsy misy fahendrena, na fahalalana, Na fisainana mahaleo an’ i Jehovah.
31 The horse [is] prepared against the day of battle: but safety [is] from the LORD.
Voaomana ny soavaly ho amin’ ny andro iadiana; Fa an’ i Jehovah ihany ny fandresena.
