Aionian Verses
And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave to my son mourning: Thus his father wept for him. (Sheol h7585)
І зачали всі сини його та всі дочки його потіша́ти його. Але він не міг утішитися, та й сказав: „У жало́бі зійду я до сина мого до шеолу“. І плакав за ним його ба́тько. (Sheol h7585)
And he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he is left alone: if mischief shall befall him by the way in which ye go, then will ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave. (Sheol h7585)
А той відказав: „Не зі́йде з вами мій син, бо брат його вмер, а він сам позостався... А трапиться йому нещастя в дорозі, якою підете, то в смутку зведете мою сивину до шео́лу!“ (Sheol h7585)
And if ye take this also from me, and mischief shall befall him, ye will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave. (Sheol h7585)
А заберете ви також цього від мене, і спіткає його нещастя, то зведете ви сивину мою цим злом до шеолу“. (Sheol h7585)
It shall come to pass, when he seeth that the lad [is] not [with us], that he will die: and thy servants will bring down the gray hairs of thy servant our father, with sorrow to the grave. (Sheol h7585)
То станеться, коли він побачить, що юнака нема, то помре. І зведуть твої раби сивину раба твого, нашого батька, у смутку до шеолу. (Sheol h7585)
But if the LORD shall make a new thing, and the earth shall open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that [appertain] to them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD. (Sheol h7585)
А коли Господь створить щось нове́, і земля відкриє уста свої та й поглине їх та все, що їхнє, і вони зі́йдуть живі до шео́лу, то пізнаєте, що люди обра́зили Господа“. (Sheol h7585)
They, and all that [appertained] to them went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. (Sheol h7585)
І зійшли вони та все, що їхнє, живі до шео́лу, і накрила їх земля, і вони погинули з-посеред збору! (Sheol h7585)
For a fire is kindled in my anger, and shall burn to the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol h7585)
Бо був загорівся огонь Мого гні́ву, і пали́вся він аж до шео́лу найглибшого, і він землю поїв та її врожай, і спалив був підва́лини гір. (Sheol h7585)
The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. (Sheol h7585)
Госпо́дь побиває й оживлює, до шео́лу знижає й підно́сить до неба. (Sheol h7585)
The sorrows of hell encompassed me; the snares of death seized me; (Sheol h7585)
Тене́та шео́лу мене оточи́ли, а па́стки смерте́льні мене попере́дили! (Sheol h7585)
Do therefore according to thy wisdom, and let not his hoary head go down to the grave in peace. (Sheol h7585)
І ти зро́биш за своєю мудрістю, і не даси зни́зитися сивині́ його мирно до шео́лу. (Sheol h7585)
Now therefore hold him not guiltless: for thou [art] a wise man, and knowest what thou oughtest to do to him; but his hoary head do thou bring down to the grave with blood. (Sheol h7585)
А тепер не прощай йому́, бо ти муж мудрий, і знатимеш, що́ зробити йому, — і ти сивину́ його зведе́ш у крові до шео́лу“. (Sheol h7585)
[As] the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no [more]. (Sheol h7585)
Як хмара зникає й прохо́дить, так хто схо́дить в шео́л, не вихо́дить, (Sheol h7585)
[It is] as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? (Sheol h7585)
Вона вища від неба, — що зможеш зробити? І глибша вона за шео́л, — як пізна́єш її? (Sheol h7585)
O that thou wouldst hide me in the grave, that thou wouldst keep me secret, until thy wrath is past, that thou wouldst appoint me a set time, and remember me! (Sheol h7585)
О, якби Ти в шео́лі мене заховав, коли б Ти мене приховав, аж поки мине́ться Твій гнів, коли б час Ти призна́чив мені́, — та й про мене згадав! (Sheol h7585)
If I wait, the grave [is] my house: I have made my bed in the darkness. (Sheol h7585)
Якщо сподіва́юсь, то тільки шео́лу, як дому свого, в темноті постелю́ своє ло́же. (Sheol h7585)
They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when [our] rest together [is] in the dust. (Sheol h7585)
До шео́лових за́сувів зі́йде вона, коли зі́йдемо ра́зом до по́роху“. (Sheol h7585)
They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave. (Sheol h7585)
Провадять в добрі свої дні, і сходять в споко́ї в шео́л. (Sheol h7585)
Drouth and heat consume the snow-waters: [so doth] the grave [those who] have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
Як посу́ха та спе́ка їдять сніжну во́ду, так шео́л поїсть грі́шників! (Sheol h7585)
Hell [is] naked before him, and destruction hath no covering. (Sheol h7585)
Голий шео́л перед Ним, і нема покриття́ Аваддо́ну. (Sheol h7585)
For in death [there is] no remembrance of thee: in the grave who will give thee thanks? (Sheol h7585)
Бож у смерті нема пам'ята́ння про Тебе, у шео́лі ж хто буде хвалити Тебе? (Sheol h7585)
The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God. (Sheol h7585)
Попряму́ють безбожні в шео́л, всі наро́ди, що Бога забули, (Sheol h7585)
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thy Holy One to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
Бо Ти не опу́стиш моєї душі до шео́лу, не попу́стиш Своєму святому побачити тлі́ння! (Sheol h7585)
The sorrows of hell encompassed me: the snares of death seized me. (Sheol h7585)
Тене́та шео́лу мене оточили, і па́стки смертельні мене попере́дили. (Sheol h7585)
O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. (Sheol h7585)
Господи, вивів Ти душу мою із шео́лу, — Ти мене оживи́в, щоб в могилу не схо́дити мені! (Sheol h7585)
Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave. (Sheol h7585)
Господи, щоб не бути мені посоро́мленим, що кличу до Тебе! Нехай посоро́млені будуть безбожні, хай замовкнуть та йдуть до шео́лу, (Sheol h7585)
Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling. (Sheol h7585)
Вони зі́йдуть в шеол, — і смерть їх пасе, немов вівці, а праведники запанують над ними від ра́ння; подоба їхня знищиться, шео́л буде мешканням для них. (Sheol h7585)
But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)

Let death seize upon them, [and] let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness [is] in their dwellings, [and] among them. (Sheol h7585)

For great [is] thy mercy towards me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. (Sheol h7585)
велика бо милість Твоя надо мною, і вирвав Ти душу мою від шео́лу глибокого! (Sheol h7585)
For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh to the grave. (Sheol h7585)
душа бо моя насити́лась нещастями, а життя моє збли́зилося до шео́лу! (Sheol h7585)
What man [is he that] liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
Котри́й чоловік буде жити, а смерти не ба́читиме, збереже свою душу від сили шео́лу? (Се́ла) (Sheol h7585)
The sorrows of death encompassed me, and the pains of hell came upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)
Болі смерти мене оточи́ли і знайшли мене му́ки шео́лу, нещастя та сму́ток знайшов я! (Sheol h7585)
If I ascend into heaven, thou [art] there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou [art there]. (Sheol h7585)
Якщо я на небо зійду́, — то Ти там, або постелю́ся в шео́лі — ось Ти! (Sheol h7585)
Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth [wood] upon the earth. (Sheol h7585)
Як дро́ва руба́ють й розко́люють їх на землі, так розки́дані наші кістки́ над отво́ром шео́лу. (Sheol h7585)
Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: (Sheol h7585)
живих поковтаймо ми їх, як шео́л, та здорових, як тих, які сходять до гро́бу! (Sheol h7585)
Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. (Sheol h7585)

Her house [is] the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. (Sheol h7585)

But he knoweth not that the dead [are] there; [and that] her guests [are] in the depths of hell. (Sheol h7585)
І не відає він, що самі́ там мерці́, у глиби́нах шео́лу — запро́шені нею! (Sheol h7585)
Hell and destruction [are] before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men? (Sheol h7585)
Шео́л й Аваддо́н перед Господом, — тим більше серця́ синів лю́дських! (Sheol h7585)
The way of life [is] above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath. (Sheol h7585)
Путь життя для премудрого — уго́ру, щоб відда́люватись від шео́лу внизу́. (Sheol h7585)
Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell. (Sheol h7585)
ти різкою виб'єш його, — і душу його від шео́лу врятуєш. (Sheol h7585)
Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied. (Sheol h7585)
Шео́л й Аваддо́н не наси́тяться, — не наси́тяться й очі люди́ни. (Sheol h7585)
The grave; and the barren womb; the earth [that] is not filled with water; and the fire [that] saith not, [It is] enough. (Sheol h7585)
шео́л та утро́ба неплідна, водою земля не наси́титься, і не скаже „до́сить“огонь! (Sheol h7585)
Whatever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might; for [there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. (Sheol h7585)
Все, що всилі чинити рука твоя, теє роби, бо немає в шео́лі, куди ти йде́ш, ні роботи, ні ро́здуму, ані знання́, ані мудрости! (Sheol h7585)
Set me as a seal upon thy heart, as a seal upon thy arm: for love [is] strong as death; jealousy [is] cruel as the grave: the coals of it [are] coals of fire, [which hath] a most vehement flame. (Sheol h7585)
„Поклади ти мене, як печатку на серце своє, як печать на раме́но своє, бо сильна любов, як смерть, за́здрощі неперемо́жні, немов той шео́л, — його жар — жар огню, воно по́лум'я Господа! (Sheol h7585)
Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. (Sheol h7585)
Тому́ то розши́рив шео́л пожадли́вість свою і безмірно розкрив свою пащу, і зі́йде до нього його пишнота́, і його на́товп, і гу́ркіт його, й ті, що тішаться в ньому. (Sheol h7585)
Ask thee a sign from the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the hight above. (Sheol h7585)
„Зажадай собі знака від Господа, Бога твого, і зійди гли́боко до шео́лу, або зійди ви́соко догори́!“ (Sheol h7585)
Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet [thee] at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, [even] all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
Завору́шивсь тобою іздо́лу шео́л назу́стріч твоєму прихо́ду; померлих тобі побуди́в, усіх проводирі́в на землі, і підняв з їхніх тро́нів всіх лю́дських царів. (Sheol h7585)
Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, [and] the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. (Sheol h7585)
Зіпхну́та в шео́л твоя го́рдість та гра твоїх арф; ви́стелено під тобою черво́ю, і червя́к накриває тебе. (Sheol h7585)
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. (Sheol h7585)
Та ски́нений ти до шео́лу, до найгли́бшого гро́бу! (Sheol h7585)
Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we in agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not reach us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: (Sheol h7585)
Бо кажете ви: „Заповіта ми склали зо смертю і з шео́лом зробили умову. Як перейде той бич, мов вода заливна́, то не при́йде до нас, бо брехню́ ми зробили притулком своїм, і в брехні́ ми схова́лись!“ (Sheol h7585)
And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. (Sheol h7585)
І заповіт ваш із смертю пола́маний буде, а ваша умова з шео́лом не втри́мається: як пере́йде нищівна́ ка́ра, то вас вона сто́пче! (Sheol h7585)
I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years. (Sheol h7585)
„Я сказав був: Опі́вдні днів своїх відійду́ до шео́лових брам, решти ро́ків своїх я не ма́тиму. (Sheol h7585)
For the grave cannot praise thee, death can [not] celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. (Sheol h7585)
бо не буде ж шео́л прославля́ти Тебе, смерть не буде Тебе вихваля́ти. Не мають надії на правду Твою ті, хто схо́дить до гро́бу. (Sheol h7585)
And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase [thyself even] to hell. (Sheol h7585)
І ти до Моло́ха з оливою ходиш, і намно́жуєш масті свої; і посилаєш дале́ко своїх посланці́в, і знижа́єшся аж до шео́лу. (Sheol h7585)
Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained its floods, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him. (Sheol h7585)
Так говорить Господь Бог: Того дня, коли він зійшов до шео́лу, учинив Я жало́бу, закрив над ними безо́дню, затримав його річки́, і була стримана велика вода, і зате́мнив над ним Лівана, а всі польові́ дере́ва помлі́ли над ним. (Sheol h7585)
I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to the grave with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth. (Sheol h7585)
Від гуку упа́дку його Я вчинив тремтя́чими наро́ди, коли Я зни́зив його до шео́лу з тими, що сходять до гро́бу. І поті́шилися в підзе́мному кра́ї всі еде́нські дере́ва, добі́рне та добре Лива́нське, всі, що п'ють воду. (Sheol h7585)
They also went down into the grave with him to [them that are] slain with the sword; and [they that were] his arm, [that] dwelt under his shade in the midst of the heathen. (Sheol h7585)

The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of the grave with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword. (Sheol h7585)

And they shall not lie with the mighty [that are] fallen of the uncircumcised, who are gone down to the grave, with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though [they were] the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. (Sheol h7585)
І не бу́дуть лежати із ли́царями, що попа́дали із необрі́занців, що зійшли до шео́лу з військо́вим знаря́ддям своїм, і поклали свої мечі під свої го́лови, і їхня провина — на їхніх костя́х, бо жах перед ли́царями був у краї живих, (Sheol h7585)
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues, O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from my eyes. (Sheol h7585)
З рук шеолу Я ви́куплю їх, від смерти їх ви́бавлю. Де, смерте, жа́ло твоє? Де, шео́ле, твоя перемо́га? Жаль схова́ється перед очима Моїми! (Sheol h7585)
Though they dig into the place of the dead, thence shall my hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down: (Sheol h7585)
Якщо б закопа́лись вони до шео́лу, то й звідти рука Моя їх забере́, і якщо б підняли́ся на небо, то й звідти їх ски́ну! (Sheol h7585)
And said, I cried by reason of my affliction to the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, [and] thou heardst my voice. (Sheol h7585)
та й казав: „Я кли́кав з нещастя свого до Господа, — і відповідь дав Він мені, із ну́тра шеолу кричав я, — і почув Ти мій голос! (Sheol h7585)
Yes also, because he transgresseth by wine, [he is] a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire, as hell, and [is] as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth to him all nations, and collecteth to him all people: (Sheol h7585)
І що ж, — як зрадли́ве вино, так го́рда люди́на споко́ю не знає: він роззя́влює па́щу свою, як шео́л, і не наси́чується, як та смерть, і всіх людей він до се́бе збирає, і всі наро́ди до себе згрома́джує. (Sheol h7585)
But I say to you, That whoever is angry with his brother without a cause, shall be in danger of the judgment: and whoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell-fire. (Geenna g1067)
А Я вам кажу́, що кожен, хто гнівається на брата свого, підпадає вже судові. А хто скаже на брата свого: „рака́“, підпадає верховному су́дові, а хто скаже „дурний“, підпадає геєнні огне́нній. (Geenna g1067)
And if thy right eye shall cause thee to sin, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee: for [it] is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell. (Geenna g1067)
Коли праве око твоє спокуша́є тебе, — його ви́бери, і кинь від себе: бо краще тобі, щоб загинув один із твоїх членів, аніж до геєнни все тіло твоє було вки́нене. (Geenna g1067)
And if thy right hand shall cause thee to sin, cut it off, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell. (Geenna g1067)
І як прави́ця твоя спокуша́є тебе, — відітни́ її й кинь від себе: бо краще тобі, щоб загинув один із твоїх членів, аніж до геєнни все тіло твоє було вки́нене. (Geenna g1067)
And fear not them who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Geenna g1067)
І не лякайтеся тих, хто тіло вбиває, а душі́ вбити не може; але бійтеся більше того, хто може й душу, і тіло вам занапасти́ти в геєнні. (Geenna g1067)
And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. (Hadēs g86)

And whoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the [world] to come. (aiōn g165)
І як скаже хто слово на Лю́дського Сина, то йому́ проститься те; а коли скаже проти Духа Святого, — не про́ститься того йому ані в цім віці, ані в майбу́тнім! (aiōn g165)
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
А між те́рен посіяне, — це той, хто слухає слово, але кло́поти віку цього́ та омана багатства заглу́шують слово, — і воно зостається без пло́ду. (aiōn g165)
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. (aiōn g165)

As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. (aiōn g165)

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, (aiōn g165)

And I say also to thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church: and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Hadēs g86)

And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my name's sake, shall receive a hundred-fold, and shall inherit everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
І кожен, хто за Йме́ння Моє кине дім, чи братів, чи сесте́р, або ба́тька, чи матір, чи діти, чи зе́млі, — той багатокротно одержить і успадку́є вічне життя. (aiōnios g166)
And when he saw a fig-tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing on it, but leaves only, and said to it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforth for ever. And immediately the fig-tree withered. (aiōn g165)
І побачив Він при дорозі одне фі́ґове дерево, і до нього прийшов, та нічого, крім листя само́го, на нім не знайшов. І до нього Він каже: „Нехай пло́ду із тебе не буде ніко́ли повіки!“І фіґове дерево зараз усохло. (aiōn g165)
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him two-fold more the child of hell than yourselves. (Geenna g1067)

And whoever liveth, and believeth in me, shall never die. Believest thou this? (aiōn g165)

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world, shall keep it to life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
