Nahum 2
1 He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make [thy] loins strong, fortify [thy] power mightily.
तँलाई टुक्रा-टुक्रा पार्नुहुने तेरो विरुद्धमा आउँदै हुनुहुन्छ । सहरहरूका पर्खालहरूमा मानिसहरू खटाओ, बाटोहरूलाई पहरा देओ, आफैँलाई बलिया बनाओ, आफ्ना सेनाहरूलाई एकठ्ठा गर ।
2 For the LORD hath turned away the excellence of Jacob, as the excellence of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.
लुटेराहरूले तिनीहरूलाई तहस-नहस गरे तापनि, र तिनीहरूका दाखका हाँगाहरूलाई नष्ट गरे तापनि, परमप्रभुले इस्राएलको गौरवझैँ याकूबको गौरव पुनर्स्थापित गर्दै हुनुहुन्छ ।
3 The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men [are] in scarlet: the chariots [shall be] with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir-trees shall be terribly shaken.
त्यसका शक्तिशाली मानिसहरूका रक्षा कवचहरू राता छन्, र त्यसका सैनिकहरू वैजनी रङ्गका पोशाकमा छन् । तिनीहरूका रथहरू तयार भएका दिनमा तिनीहरूका धातुद्धारा चम्किन्छन्, र सल्लोका भालाहरू हावामा लहराइन्छन् ।
4 The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall jostle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.
ती रथहरू सडकहरूबाट तीव्र गतिमा अगि बढ्छन्, फराकिला सडकहरूमा ती अगाडि र पछाडि दौडन्छन् । तिनीहरू राँकाझैँ देखिन्छन्, र तिनीहरू बिजुलीझैँ दौडन्छन् ।
5 He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defense shall be prepared.
तँलाई टुक्रा-टुक्रा पार्नेले आफ्ना अधिकारीहरूलाई बोलाउँछ, तर तिनीहरू हिँड्ने क्रममा एक आपसमा ठेस खाई लड्छन् । तिनीहरू सहरको पर्खाललाई आक्रमण गर्न हतारिन्छन् । यी आक्रमण गर्नेहरूलाई बचाउनको निम्ति ठुलो रक्षा कवच बनाइन्छ ।
6 The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
नदीका बाँधहरू खुला पारिन्छन्, र दरबारचाहिँ नाश हुनेछ ।
7 And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead [her] as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.
हुज्जाबका वस्त्र फुकालिएकाछन् र त्यो निर्वासनमा लगिनेछे । त्यसका कमारीहरू छाती पिट्दै ढुकुरहरूझैँ विलाप गर्छन् ।
8 But Nineveh [is] of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, [shall they cry]; but none shall look back.
निनवे चुहिरहेको पोखरीझैँ हो, जसका मानिसहरू जोडले बगिरहेको पानीझैँ भागिरहेका छन् । अरूहरूले ठुलो सोरमा भन्छन्, “रोक, रोक,” तर कसैले पनि पछि फर्केर हेर्दैन ।
9 Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for [there is] no end of the store [and] glory out of all the pleasant furniture.
चाँदी र सुनका लुटका सामान लेओ, किनभने निनवेका सबै सुन्दर कुराहरूका वैभवको कुनै अन्त्य छैन ।
10 She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain [is] in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.
निनवे रित्तो र नष्ट भएको छ । सबैका हृदय पग्लिन्छन्, सबैका घुँडाहरू एक आपसमा ठोकिन्छन्, र पीडा सबैमा छ, तिनीहरू सबैका अनुहारहरू पहेँला छन् ।
11 Where [is] the dwelling of the lions, and the feeding-place of the young lions, where the lion, [even] the old lion, walked, [and] the lion's whelp, and none made [them] afraid?
सिंहको गुफा, जहाँ जवान सिंहहरूलाई खुवाइन्थ्यो, जहाँ सिंह र सिंहनी आफ्ना डमरुहरूसँग हिँड्थे, जहाँ तिनीहरू कोहीसँग डराउँदैनथे, त्यो ठाउँ कहाँ छ?
12 The lion tore in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.
सिंहले आफ्ना डमरुहरूका निम्ति त्यसका शिकारहरूलाई टुक्रा-टुक्रा गर्यो । त्यसले आफ्ना सिंहनीहरूका निम्ति शिकारको घाँटी निमोठी मार्यो, र आफ्नो गुफालाई शिकारहरूले, र आफ्नो ओडारलाई टुक्रा-टुक्रा पारिएका सिनुहरूले भर्यो ।
13 Behold, I [am] against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु यो घोषणा गर्नुहुन्छ, “हेर्, म तेरो विरुद्धमा छु । म तेरा रथहरूलाई जलाएर धुँवा बनाउनेछु र तेरा जवान सिंहहरूलाई तरवारले नष्ट पार्नेछ । तेरो भुमिबाट तेरो शिकारलाई म हटाइदिनेछु र तेरा समाचारबाहकहरूका आवाज अब कहिल्यै सुनिनेछैन ।”
