Matthew 21
1 And when they drew nigh to Jerusalem, and had come to Bethphage, to the mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
們臨近耶路撒冷，來到靠近橄欖山的貝特法革時，耶穌就打發兩個門徒，
2 Saying to them, Go into the village over against you, and immediately ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her, loose [them], and bring [them] to me.
對他們說：「你們往對面的村莊裏去，立時會看見一匹栓的母驢，和跟牠在一起的驢駒。解開，給我牽來，
3 And if any [man] shall say aught to you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and immediately he will send them.
如果有人對你們說什麼，你們就說：主要用牠們。他們就會立刻放牠們來」
4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
這事發生，是為應驗先知所說的：
5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh to thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
「你們應向熙雍女子說：看，你的君王來到你這裏，溫和地騎在一匹驢上，一匹母驢的小驢駒上。」
6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
門徒就去，焄耶穌吩咐他們的做了。
7 And brought the ass and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set [him] thereon.
他們牽了母驢和驢來，把外衣搭在牠們的身上，扶耶穌坐在上面。
8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strewed [them] in the way.
很多群眾，自己的外衣舖在地上，還有些人從樹上砍下樹枝來，撒在路上。
9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
前行後隨的群眾喊說：「賀三納於達味之子！因上主之名而來的，當受讚頌！賀三納於至上之天。」
10 And when he had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
當耶穌進入耶路撒冷的時候，全城哄動，說：「這人是誰？ 」
11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
群眾說：「這是加利肋亞納匝肋的先知耶穌。」
12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold doves.
耶穌進了聖殿，把一切在聖殿內的商人顧客趕出去，把錢莊的桌子和賣鴿子的凳子推翻
13 And said to them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer, but ye have made it a den of thieves.
向他們說：「經上記載：『我的殿宇，因稱為祈禱之所。』你們竟把它做成了賊窩。」
14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
在聖殿仕的瞎子和瘸子來到衪跟前，衪都治好了他們。
15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were greatly displeased,
司祭長及經師見了衪所行的奇事，又聽見了孩子們在聖殿內喊說：「賀三納於達味之子！」就大發忿怒，
16 And said to him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith to them, Yes: have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
對耶穌說：「你聽見他們所說的嗎！」耶穌對他們說：「是的，你們從未讀過：『你由嬰兒和吃奶者的口中，備受讚美』這句話嗎？ 」
17 And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany, and he lodged there.
於是便離開他們走出城外，到伯達尼去，在那裏過夜。
18 Now in the morning as he was returning into the city, he was hungry.
早晨，衪回城時，餓了，
19 And when he saw a fig-tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing on it, but leaves only, and said to it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforth for ever. And immediately the fig-tree withered. (aiōn g165)
見路旁有棵無花樹，就走到跟前，但在樹上除了葉子外，什麼也沒找到，就對它說：「你永遠不再結果子了！」那無花果樹立即枯乾了。 (aiōn g165)
20 And when the disciples saw [it], they marveled, saying, How soon is the fig-tree withered!
門徒一見就驚異說：「怎麼這無花果樹立即枯乾了？」
21 Jesus answered and said to them, Verily I say to you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this [which is done] to the fig-tree, but also, if ye shall say to this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
耶穌回答他們說：「我實在告訴你們：你們如果有信德，不疑惑，不但能對無花果樹做這件事，既使你們對這座山說：起來，投到海中！也必要實現。
22 And all things whatever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
不論你們在祈禱時懇求什麼，只要信，就必獲得。」
23 And when he had come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things; and who gave thee this authority?
衪進了聖殿，正教訓人時，司祭長和民間的長老來到衪跟前說：「你憑什麼權柄作這些事？ 誰給了你這種權柄？ 」
24 And Jesus answered and said to them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I also will tell you by what authority I do these things.
耶穌回答說：「我也問你們一句話：你們若答覆我，我就告訴你們：我憑什麼權作這些事。
25 The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or from men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, if we shall say, From heaven; he will say to us, Why then did ye not believe him?
若翰的洗禮，是從哪裏來的？是從天上來的？ 還是從人間來的？ 」他們心中思量說：「如果我們說，是從天上來的，衪必對我們說：你們為什麼不信他？
26 But if we shall say, From men; we fear the people: for all hold John as a prophet.
如果我們說：是從人來的，我們害怕民眾，因為眾人都以若翰為一位先知。
27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
他們便耶穌說：「我們不知道。」耶穌也對們們說：「我也不告訴你們：我憑什麼權柄做道些事。
28 But what think ye? A [certain] man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go, work to-day in my vineyard.
你們以為怎樣？ 從前有一個人，有兩個兒子，他對第一個說：孩子！ 你今天到葡萄園裏去工作吧！
29 He answered and said, I will not; but afterward he repented, and went.
他回答說：我去。但他卻沒有去。
30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I [go], sir: and went not.
他對第二個也說了同樣的話，第二個卻回答說：我不願意。但後來悔悟過來，而又去了。
31 Which of the two did the will of [his] father? They say to him, The first. Jesus saith to them, Verily I say to you, that the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
兩人中哪一個履行了夬父親的意願？ 」他們說：「後一個。」耶穌對他們說：「我實告訴你們：稅吏和娼妓要在你們以先進入天國，
32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen [it], repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.
因為若翰來到你們道裏履行了正義，你們仍不相信他。稅吏和娼妓倒相信了；至於你們，見了後，仍不悔悟去相信他。」
33 Hear another parable; There was a certain householder, who planted a vineyard, and hedged it around, and digged a wine-press in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a remote country:
你們再聽一個比喻吧！從前有一個家主，培植了一個葡萄園，周圍圍上籬笆，園內掘了一個榨酒池，築了一個守望台，把它租給園戶，就離開了本國。
34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.
快到收果子的時節，他打發僕人到園戶那裏去收果子。
35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
園戶拿住了僕人，將一個鞭打了，將一個殺了，將另一個用石頭砸死了。
36 Again he sent other servants more than the first: and they did to them in like manner.
他再打發一些僕人去，人數比以前還多；園戶也一樣對待了他們，
37 But last of all he sent to them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
最後他打發他的兒子到他們那去，說：他們會尊敬我的兒子。
38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
但園戶一看見是兒子，就此說：這是繼承人；來，我們殺掉他，我們就能得到他的產業。
39 And they caught him, and cast [him] out of the vineyard, and slew [him].
於是他們拿住他，把他推到園外殺了。
40 When therefore the Lord of the vineyard cometh, what will he do to those husbandmen?
那麼當葡萄園的主人來時，他要怎樣處置那此些園戶呢？」
41 They say to him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out [his] vineyard to other husbandmen, who will render him the fruits in their seasons.
他們回答說：「要兇惡地消滅那些兇惡的人，把葡萄園另租給按時給他繳納出產的園戶。」
42 Jesus saith to them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?
耶穌對他們說：「匠人棄而不用的石頭，反而成了屋角的基石；那是上主的所行所為，在我們眼中，神妙莫測』的這句經文，你們沒有讀過嗎？
43 Therefore I say to you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits of it.
為此我對你們說：天主的國，必由你們中奪去，而交給果子的外邦人。
44 And whoever shall fall on this stone, shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
跌在這石頭上的，必被撞碎；這石頭落在誰身上，必要把他壓踤」
45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke of them.
司祭長和法利賽人聽了衪的這些比喻，覺出衪是指著他們說的，
46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
就想逮住衪；但害怕民眾，因為他們以耶穌為一位先知。
