< Matthew 17 >

1 And after six days, Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them upon a high mountain apart.
Jejile jalabhao nsiku mukaga, Yesu agegele Petro, na Yakobo na Yohana omumula wabho, nalinya nabho ingulu muchima.
2 And [he] was transfigured before them: and his face shone as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
Nainduka olususo imbele yebhwe. Obhusu bhawye nibhubhalangilya lwa lisubha, na emyenda jaye nijilabya lwo obhwelu.
3 And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah talking with him.
Mbe Lola, achalao Musa na Elia nibhabhonekana bhalyao nibhaloma nage.
4 Then answered Peter, and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.
Petro naika namubhwila ati, “Lata Bugenyi, jakabhee jakisi chikale anu. Labha ukenda enumbaka anu ebhiuna bhisatu, echimwi chibhe chao, echindi cha Musa na echimwi chibhe cha Eliya.”
5 While he was yet speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold, a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased: hear ye him.
Aliga achaloma ago, elile limwela nilibhaswikilila, obhulaka okusoka mulile niyaikati ati, “Unu niwe omwana wani omwendwa Unu kankondelesha. Mbe mumutegeleshe.”
6 And when the disciples heard [it], they fell on their face, and were in great fear.
Abheigisibhwa bhaye bhejile bhongwa kutyo, nibhobhaya muno nibhagwa bhwifumbike.
7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
Namala Yesu naja nabhagwatako naika ati, “Mwimelegulu musige okubhaya.”
8 And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.
Nibhalalamila ingulu nawe bhatabhwene omunu tali Yesu ila enyele.
9 And as they were descending the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be raised again from the dead.
Mbe bhaliga bhacholomoka okusoka muchima, Yesu nabhalagilila naika ati, “Mwasiga kwaika ebhilolo bhinu mwabhonekelwa ukingila Omwana wa Adamu ao alisuluka okusoka mubhafuye.”
10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes, that Elijah must first come?
Abheigisibwa bhaye nibhamubhusha ati, “Kubhaki abhandiki abhaika ati Eliya alija okwamba?”
11 And Jesus answered and said to them, Elijah truly will first come, and restore all things:
Yesu nabhasubhya nabhabhwila ati, “Nichimali Eliya alisubha nokusubhyao amagambo gona.
12 But I say to you, that Elijah is come already, and they knew him not, but have done to him whatever they pleased: likewise will also the Son of man suffer by them.
Nawe enibhabhwila emwe ati, Eliya amalile okuja, nawe mutamumenyele. Nibhalalamila nibhamukolela amagambo ago bhendaga abhene. Na nikwo kutyo Omwana wa Adamu alinyasibhwa ali mumabhoko gebhwe.”
13 Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them concerning John the Baptist.
Niwo abheigisibhwa nibhamenya ati aliga nalomelela ingulu ya Yoana Omubhatija.
14 And when they had come to the multitude, there came to him a [certain] man kneeling down to him, and saying,
Bhejile bhakinga mubhanu bhafu, omunu umwi ejile nateja ebhiju imbele yaye, namubhwila ati,
15 Lord, have mercy on my son; for he is lunatic, and grievously distressed; for often he falleth into the fire, and often into the water.
“Lata Bhugenyi, nufwile chigongo omwa wani, kulwokubha alabhee na lilalu na kanyaka muno. Kulwokubha ngendo nyafu kagwaga mumulilo amo mumanji.
16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
Namuletele kubheigisibhwa bhao nawe” bhatatulile okumuosha
17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
Yesu asubhya naika ati, Emwe Olwibhulo lunu lutakwikilisha na lunu lunyamukile, enikala nemwe kukinga lunakuki? Numulete kwanye anu.”
18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
Yesu namugonya, na lisambwa ndimusokako. Omwana oyo namwiulisha okwambila akatungu ako.
19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
Nibheya abheigisibhwa nibhamulubha Yesu bhwiseleke nibhamubhusha ati, “Kubhaki eswe chitatula okulisoshako?”
20 And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say to you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye shall say to this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.
Yesu nabhabhwila ati, “kulwokubha elikilisha lyemwe nitoto. Nichimali enibhabhwila, labha mukabha ne elikilisha etoto lwa injuma yo omuaradali, omutula okubhwila echima chinu, ona nichifuruka na chitakubhao chinu chonachona chinu echibhasinga.
21 However, this kind goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting.
(Gwata ganu kutya: Emisango jo olugobho lwa 21, “Nawe, lisambwa elyejabho linu litakutula okusokako ukabhula okusabhwa no ukusibha obhutalya” gatandikilwe mu Mandiko gakala).
22 And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of man will be betrayed into the hands of men:
Mbe ao bhaliga bhachali Galilaya, Yesu nabhabhwila abheigisibwa bhaye ati, “Omwana wa Adamu kaja okulwa mumabhoko ga abhana bhanu.
23 And they will kill him, and the third day he will be raised again: And they were exceedingly grieved.
Na abhamwita, na kulunaku lwa kasatu alisuluka”. Mbe abheigisibhwa nibhasulumbala.
24 And when they had come to Capernaum, they that received tribute -[money], came to Peter, and said, Doth not your Master pay tribute?
Mbe bhejile bhakinga Kapenaumu, abhanu bhanu bhaliga nibhatobhesha ligoti lya liinju lya Ishekeli nibhagenda ku Petro nibhaika ati, Omwiigisha wemwe kaliyaga likodi lye echiinju cha Ishekeli?”
25 He saith, Yes. And when he had come into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? from whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? from their own children, or from strangers?
Naika ati, “Yee” Nawe Petro ejile engila munyumba, Okwamba Yesu naloma na Petro naika ati, Owiganilishaki Simoni? Abhakama bha muchalo abhalamila ligoti amo omuolo okusoka kuga? okusoka ku bhana bhebhwe nangu kubhandi buyaga?
26 Peter saith to him, From strangers. Jesus saith to him, Then are the children free.
Mbe nio Petro nasubhya ati, “Okusoka kubhandi bhuyaga.” Yesu nasubhya ati, “mbe jilikutyo abhana bhabhasosishemo mwigoti.”
27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast a hook, and take the fish that first cometh up: and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: take that, and give to them for me and thee.
Mbe nawe chasiga okubhagwisha mu bhibhibhi bhanu abhatobhesha ligoti, nugende kumwalo, ulase indobhano, ugege inswi inu ulakoma kubhwambilo. Ukafundukula omunwa gwayo, ousangamo Ishekeli imwi. Uigege na ubhayane bhanu abhatobhesha ligoti undiile na wiliile awe omwene.
