Matthew 12
1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath through the corn, and his disciples were hungry, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.

2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, Behold, thy disciples do that which it is not lawful to do on the sabbath.
VaFarisi pavakazviona, vakati kwaari, “Tarirai, vadzidzi venyu vari kuita zvisingabvumirwi nomusi weSabata.”
3 But he said to them, Have ye not read what David did when he was hungry, and they that were with him;
Akati kwavari, “Ko, hamuna kuverenga here zvakaitwa naDhavhidhi navamwe vake pavakanga vava nenzara?
4 How he entered into the house of God, and ate the show-bread, which it was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them who were with him, but only for the priests?
Akapinda muimba yaMwari iye nevamwe vake vakadya chingwa chitsvene chavaisabvumirwa kudya, asi chaingodyiwa navaprista chete.
5 Or have ye not read in the law, that on the sabbath the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
Kana kuti hamuna kuverenga here muMurayiro kuti nomusi weSabata vaprista mutemberi vanosvibisa zuva iri asi vasingapiwi mhosva?
6 But I say to you, that in this place is [one] greater than the temple.
Ndinokuudzai kuti mukuru kupfuura temberi ari pano.
7 But if ye had known what [this] meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
Dai maiziva zvinorehwa namashoko anoti, ‘Ndinoda ngoni, kwete zvibayiro,’ hamaizopa mhosva vasina mhosva.
8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath.
Nokuti Mwanakomana woMunhu ndiye Ishe weSabata.”
9 And when he had departed thence, he went into their synagogue.
Achipfuurira mberi kubva panzvimbo iyoyo, akapinda musinagoge ravo,
10 And behold, there was a man who had [his] hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath? that they might accuse him.
uye makanga muno murume akanga ano ruoko rwakanga rwakakokonyara. Vachitsvaka mhosva yokupomera Jesu vakamubvunza vakati, “Zviri pamutemo here kuporesa nomusi weSabata?”
11 And he said to them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it shall fall into a pit on the sabbath, will he not lay hold on it, and lift [it] out?
Akati kwavari, “Kana mumwe wenyu aine gwai, rikawira mugomba nomusi weSabata, haangatambanudzi ruoko rwake akaribudisa here?
12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
Ko, zvino munhu anokosha zvakadini pane gwai! Naizvozvo zviri pamutemo kuita zvakanaka nomusi weSabata.”
13 Then saith he to the man, Stretch out thy hand. And he stretched [it] out; and [it] was restored to a sound state like the other.
Akati kumurume uya, “Tambanudza ruoko rwako.” Akarutambanudza rukapora rukava sorumwe.
14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.
Asi vaFarisi vakabuda kundorangana kuti vangamuuraya sei.
15 But when Jesus knew [it], he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all.
Achiziva izvi, Jesu akabva panzvimbo iyi. Vazhinji vakamutevera, akaporesa varwere vavo vose.
16 And charged them that they should not make him known:
Akavayambira kuti vasafamba vachitaura kuti iye ndiye ani.
17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,
Izvi zvakanga zvichizadzisa zvainge zvataurwa nomuprofita Isaya achiti:
18 Behold, my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall show judgment to the Gentiles.
“Houno muranda wangu wandakasarudza, wandinoda, anondifadza; ndichaisa Mweya wangu paari, iye achazivisa nyika kutonga kwakarurama.
19 He shall not contend, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
Haazokakavari kana kuridza mhere; hakuna anozonzwa inzwi rake mumigwagwa.
20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he shall send forth judgment to victory.
Rutsanga rwakapwanyika haangarutyori, nomwenje unopfuta zvishoma haangaudzimi, kusvikira atungamirira kutonga kwakarurama mukukunda.
21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
Marudzi ose achaisa tariro yawo muzita rake.”
22 Then was brought to him one possessed with a demon, blind and dumb; and he healed him, so that the blind and dumb both spoke and saw.
Ipapo vakauya kwaari nomurume akanga akabatwa nedhimoni ari bofu uye ari mbeveve, uye Jesu akamuporesa, zvokuti akagona zvose kutaura nokuona.
23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
Vanhu vose vakashamiswa uye vakati, “Kuti uyu angava Mwanakomana waDhavhidhi here?”
24 But when the Pharisees heard [it], they said, This [man] doth not cast out demons, but by Beelzebub the prince of the demons.
Asi vaFarisi pavakanzwa izvi, vakati, “NdiBheerizebhubhi chete, muchinda wamadhimoni, waanodzinga naye madhimoni.”
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself, is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself, shall not stand.
Jesu akaziva pfungwa dzavo akati kwavari, “Umambo hwose hunozvipesanisa huchaparara, uye guta ripi neripi kana imba ipi neipi inozvipesanisa haingamiri.
26 And if Satan casteth out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom stand?
Zvino kana Satani achibudisa mumwe Satani, zvinoreva kuti anozvipesanisa. Saka umambo hwake hungamira sei?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out demons, by whom do your children expel [them]? therefore they shall be your judges.
Zvino kana ini ndichibudisa madhimoni naBheerizebhubhi, ko, vanakomana venyu vanoabudisa naani?
28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come to you.
Asi kana ndichibudisa madhimoni noMweya waMwari zvinoreva kuti umambo hwaMwari hwasvika kwamuri.
29 Or else, how can one enter into a strong man's house, and seize his goods, except he shall first bind the strong man? and then he will plunder his house.
“Uyezve, munhu angapinda sei mumba momunhu ane simba agoenda nezvinhu zvake asina kutanga asunga munhu uyu ane simba? Ipapo anogona kuzopamba imba yake.
30 He that is not with me, is against me; and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth abroad.
“Uyo asineni anopesana neni, nouyo asingaunganidzi neni anoparadza.
31 Wherefore I say to you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven to men: but the blasphemy [against] the [Holy] Spirit shall not be forgiven to men.
Uye naizvozvo ndinokuudzai kuti, vanhu vacharegererwa zvivi zvose nokumhura kwose asi kumhura Mweya hakuzoregererwi.
32 And whoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the [world] to come. (aiōn g165)
Ani naani achataura zvakaipa pamusoro poMwanakomana woMunhu acharegererwa, asi ani naani achataura zvakaipa pamusoro poMweya Mutsvene haazoregererwi, kunyange panguva ino kana inouya. (aiōn g165)
33 Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by [its] fruit.
“Itai kuti muti uve wakanaka uye michero yawo ichava yakanaka kana kuti itai kuti muti uve wakaipa, uye michero yawo ichava yakaipa, nokuti muti uchazivikanwa nemichero yawo.
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.
Imi vana venyoka, zvingaitike here kuti imi makaipa kudai mutaure chipi zvacho chakanaka? Nokuti muromo unotaura zviri mumwoyo.
35 A good man, out of the good treasure of the heart, bringeth forth good things: and an evil man, out of the evil treasure, bringeth forth evil things.
Munhu akanaka anobudisa zvakanaka zvagara zviri mudura romwoyo wake, uye munhu akaipa anobudisa zvakaipa zvagara zviri mudura romwoyo wake.
36 But I say to you, That for every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account in the day of judgment.
Asi ndinokuudzai kuti vanhu vachazvidavirira pamusi wokutongwa pamusoro peshoko rimwe nerimwe ravakataura risina maturo.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Nokuti namashoko ako ucharuramisirwa, uye namashoko ako uchawanikwa une mhosva.”
38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.
Ipapo vamwe vaFarisi navadzidzisi vomurayiro vakati kwaari, “Mudzidzisi, tinoda kuona chiratidzo chechishamiso kubva kwamuri.”
39 But he answered and said to them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh for a sign, and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah.
Akavapindura akati, “Rudzi rwakaipa nerwoupombwe runokumbira chiratidzo! Asi hapana chiratidzo chichapiwa kwarwuri kunze chete kwechiratidzo chomuprofita Jona.
40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly: so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, a greater than Jonah [is] here.
Vanhu veNinevhe vachamira pakutongwa pamwe chete norudzi urwu uye vacharupa mhosva; nokuti vakatendeuka pakuparidza kwaJona, uye zvino mukuru kuna Jona ari pano.
42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon [is] here.
Mambokadzi weZasi achasimuka pakutongwa pamwe chete norudzi urwu uye acharupa mhosva, nokuti akabva kumagumo enyika kuti azoteerera kuuchenjeri hwaSoromoni, uye zvino mukuru kuna Soromoni ari pano.
43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and he findeth none.
“Kana mweya wakaipa wabva pano munhu, unofamba-famba nomunzvimbo dzakaoma uchitsvaka zororo asi unorishaya.
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth [it] empty, swept, and garnished.
Ipapo unoti, ‘Ndichadzokera kumba kwandakabva.’ Kana wasvika, unosvikowana imba iya isina ageremo, asi yakanyatsotsvairwa zvakachena nokunyatsorongedzwa zvakanaka.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last [state] of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also to this wicked generation.
Ipapo unobva waenda kundotsvaka mimwe mweya minomwe yakaipa kukunda iwo, uye inopinda igogaramo. Uye kupedzisira kwomunhu uyu kwakaipa kupfuura kutanga kwake. Ndizvo zvazvichaita kurudzi urwu rwakaipa.”
46 While he was yet speaking to the people, behold, [his] mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
Jesu paakanga achiri kutaura kuvanhu vazhinji, mai vake navanunʼuna vake vakamira panze vachida kutaura naye.
47 Then one said to him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
Mumwe akati kwaari, “Mai venyu navanunʼuna venyu vamire panze, vari kuda kutaura nemi.”
48 But he answered and said to him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
Akamupindura akati, “Ko, mai vangu ndiani, navanunʼuna vangu ndivanaani?”
49 And he stretched forth his hand towards his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
Achinongedzera vadzidzi vake akati, “Ava ndivo mai vangu navanunʼuna vangu.
50 For whoever shall do the will of my Father who is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Nokuti ani naani anoita kuda kwaBaba vangu vari kudenga ndiye mununʼuna wangu nehanzvadzi yangu, namai vangu.”
