Mark 8
1 In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples, and saith to them,
௧அந்த நாட்களிலே அநேக மக்கள் கூடிவந்திருக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் சாப்பிடுகிறதற்கு ஒன்றுமில்லாததினால், இயேசு தம்முடைய சீடர்களை அழைத்து:
2 I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:
௨மக்களுக்காகப் பரிதாபப்படுகிறேன், இவர்கள் இப்பொழுது என்னிடம் தங்கியிருந்த மூன்றுநாட்களாகச் சாப்பிட ஒன்றுமில்லாமல் இருக்கிறார்கள்.
3 And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for some of them came from a distance.
௩இவர்களில் சிலர் தூரத்திலிருந்து வந்திருப்பதினால், நான் இவர்களைப் பட்டினியாக வீட்டிற்கு அனுப்பிவிட்டால், போகும் வழியில் சோர்ந்துபோவார்களே என்றார்.
4 And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these [men] with bread here in the wilderness?
௪அதற்கு அவருடைய சீடர்கள்: இந்த வனாந்திரத்திலே ஒருவன் எங்கே இருந்து அப்பங்களைக் கொண்டுவந்து இத்தனை மக்களுக்குக் கொடுத்து திருப்தியாக்கமுடியும் என்றார்கள்.
5 And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.
௫அதற்கு அவர்: உங்களிடம் எத்தனை அப்பங்கள் இருக்கிறது என்று கேட்டார். அவர்கள்: ஏழு அப்பங்கள் இருக்கிறது என்றார்கள்.
6 And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and broke, and gave to his disciples to set before [them]; and they set [them] before the people.
௬அப்பொழுது அவர் மக்களைத் தரையிலே பந்தி உட்காரக் கட்டளையிட்டு, அந்த ஏழு அப்பங்களையும் எடுத்து, நன்றி செலுத்தி, அதைப் பிட்டு, அவர்களுக்குப் பரிமாற சீடர்களிடம் கொடுத்தார்; அவர்கள் மக்களுக்குப் பரிமாறினார்கள்.
7 And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before [them].
௭சில சிறிய மீன்களும் அவர்களிடம் இருந்தது; அவர் அவைகளையும் ஆசீர்வதித்து அவர்களுக்குப் பரிமாறச் சொன்னார்.
8 So they ate, and were satisfied: and they took up of the fragments that were left, seven baskets.
௮அவர்கள் சாப்பிட்டுத் திருப்தியானார்கள்; மீதியான அப்பங்களை ஏழுகூடை நிறைய எடுத்தார்கள்.
9 And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he dismissed them.
௯சாப்பிட்டவர்கள் ஏறக்குறைய நான்காயிரம்பேராக இருந்தார்கள். பின்பு அவர் அவர்களை அனுப்பிவிட்டார்.
10 And forthwith he entered into a boat with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
௧0உடனே அவர் தம்முடைய சீடர்களோடு படகில் ஏறி, தல்மனூத்தாவின் எல்லைகளுக்கு வந்தார்.
11 And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, tempting him.
௧௧அப்பொழுது பரிசேயர்கள் வந்து அவரோடு வாக்குவாதம் பண்ணத்தொடங்கி, அவரைச் சோதிப்பதற்காக, வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு அடையாளத்தைக் காண்பிக்கவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek for a sign? Verily I say to you, There shall no sign be given to this generation.
௧௨அவர் தம்முடைய ஆவியில் பெருமூச்சுவிட்டு: இந்தச் சந்ததியார்கள் அடையாளம் தேடுகிறது ஏன்? இந்தச் சந்ததியார்களுக்கு ஒரு அடையாளமும் கொடுக்கப்படுவது இல்லை என்று உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று சொல்லி,
13 And he left them, and entering into the boat again, departed to the other side.
௧௩அவர்களைவிட்டு மறுபடியும் படகில் ஏறி, அக்கரைக்குப் போனார்.
14 Now [the disciples] had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the boat with them more than one loaf.
௧௪சீடர்கள் அப்பங்களைக் கொண்டுவர மறந்துபோனார்கள்; படகிலே அவர்களிடம் ஒரு அப்பம்மட்டுமே இருந்தது.
15 And he charged them saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and [of] the leaven of Herod.
௧௫அவர் அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: நீங்கள் பரிசேயர்களுடைய புளித்த மாவைக்குறித்தும் ஏரோதின் புளித்த மாவைக்குறித்தும் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள் என்று கற்பித்தார்.
16 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, [It is] because we have no bread.
௧௬அதற்கு அவர்கள்: நம்மிடம் அப்பங்கள் இல்லாததினால் இப்படிச் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று தங்களுக்குள்ளே யோசனைபண்ணிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
17 And when Jesus knew [it], he saith to them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?
௧௭இயேசு அதை அறிந்து, அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: உங்களிடம் அப்பங்கள் இல்லாததினால் நீங்கள் யோசனைபண்ணுகிறது ஏன்? இன்னும் சிந்திக்காமலும் உணராமலும் இருக்கிறீர்களா? இன்னும் உங்களுடைய இருதயம் கடினமாக இருக்கிறதா?
18 Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?
௧௮உங்களுக்குக் கண்கள் இருந்தும் பார்க்காமல் இருக்கிறீர்களா? காதுகள் இருந்தும் கேட்காமல் இருக்கிறீர்களா? நினைத்துப்பார்க்காமல் இருக்கிறீர்களா?
19 When I divided the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say to him, Twelve.
௧௯நான் ஐந்து அப்பங்களை ஐயாயிரம்பேருக்குப் பங்கிட்டுக்கொடுத்தபோது, மீதியான அப்பங்களை எத்தனை கூடைகள்நிறைய எடுத்தீர்கள் என்று கேட்டார், பன்னிரண்டு என்றார்கள்.
20 And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
௨0நான் ஏழு அப்பங்களை நான்காயிரம்பேருக்குப் பங்கிட்டுக்கொடுத்தபோது, மீதியான அப்பங்களை எத்தனை கூடைகள்நிறைய எடுத்தீர்கள் என்று கேட்டார். ஏழு என்றார்கள்.
21 And he said to them, How is it that ye do not understand?
௨௧அப்படியானால், நீங்கள் புரிந்துகொள்ளாமல் இருப்பது எப்படி? என்றார்.
22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man to him, and besought him to touch him.
௨௨பின்பு அவர் பெத்சாயிதா ஊருக்கு வந்தார்; அப்பொழுது ஒரு குருடனை அவரிடம் கொண்டுவந்து, அவனைத் தொடவேண்டும் என்று அவரை வேண்டிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw aught.
௨௩அவர் குருடனுடைய கையைப் பிடித்து, அவனைக் கிராமத்திற்கு வெளியே அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், அவன் கண்களில் உமிழ்ந்து, அவன்மேல் கரங்களை வைத்து: எதையாவது பார்க்கிறாயா? என்று கேட்டார்.
24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees walking.
௨௪அவன் பார்த்து: மனிதர்களை நடக்கிற மரங்களைப்போலப் பார்க்கிறேன் என்றான்.
25 After that, he put [his] hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
௨௫பின்பு அவர் மறுபடியும் அவன் கண்களின்மேல் கரங்களை வைத்து, அவனைப் பார்க்கும்படி செய்தார்; அப்பொழுது அவன் பார்வைப்பெற்று, எல்லோரையும் தெளிவாகப் பார்த்தான்.
26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell [it] to any in the town.
௨௬பின்பு அவர் அவனைப் பார்த்து: நீ கிராமத்திற்குள் செல்லாமலும், கிராமத்தில் இதை ஒருவருக்கும் சொல்லாமலும் இரு என்று சொல்லி, அவனை வீட்டிற்கு அனுப்பிவிட்டார்.
27 And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Cesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying to them, Who do men say that I am?
௨௭பின்பு, இயேசுவும் அவருடைய சீடர்களும் புறப்பட்டு, பிலிப்பு செசரியா நாட்டைச்சேர்ந்த கிராமங்களுக்குப் போனார்கள். வழியிலே அவர் தம்முடைய சீடர்களைப் பார்த்து: மக்கள் என்னை யார் என்று சொல்லுகிறார்கள் என்று கேட்டார்.
28 And they answered, John the Baptist: but some [say], Elijah; and others, One of the prophets,
௨௮அதற்கு அவர்கள்: சிலர் உம்மை யோவான்ஸ்நானன் என்றும், சிலர் எலியா என்றும், வேறுசிலர் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளில் ஒருவர் என்றும் சொல்லுகிறார்கள் என்றார்கள்.
29 And he saith to them, But who say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith to him, Thou art the Christ.
௨௯அப்பொழுது, அவர்: நீங்கள் என்னை யார் என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டார்; பேதுரு மறுமொழியாக: நீர் கிறிஸ்து என்றான்.
30 And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.
௩0அப்பொழுது தம்மைக்குறித்து ஒருவருக்கும் சொல்லவேண்டாம் என்று அவர்களுக்கு உறுதியாகக் கட்டளையிட்டார்.
31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
௩௧அவைகள் அல்லாமல், மனிதகுமாரன் பல பாடுகள்பட்டு, மூப்பர்களாலும் பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களாலும் வேதபண்டிதர்களாலும் ஆகாதவன் என்று தள்ளப்பட்டு, கொல்லப்பட்டு, மூன்று நாட்களுக்குப்பின்பு உயிரோடு எழுந்திருக்கவேண்டும் என்று அவர்களுக்குப் போதிக்கத்தொடங்கினார்.
32 And he spoke that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
௩௨இந்த வார்த்தையை அவர் தெளிவாகச் சொன்னார். அப்பொழுது, பேதுரு அவரைத் தனியே அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், அவரைக் கடிந்துபேசத் தொடங்கினான்.
33 But when he had turned about, and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savorest not the things that are of God, but the things that are of men.
௩௩அவர் திரும்பித் தம்முடைய சீடர்களைப் பார்த்து, பின்பு பேதுருவைப் பார்த்து: எனக்குப் பின்னாகப்போ, சாத்தானே, நீ தேவனுக்குரிவைகளைச் சிந்திக்காமல் மனிதனுக்குரியவைகளைச் சிந்திக்கிறாய் என்று சொல்லி, அவனைக் கடிந்துபேசினார்.
34 And when he had called the people [to him] with his disciples also, he said to them, Whoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
௩௪பின்பு அவர் மக்களையும் தம்முடைய சீடர்களையும் தம்மிடம் அழைத்து: ஒருவன் என்னைப் பின்பற்றிவரவிரும்பினால், அவன் தன்னைத்தானே வெறுத்து, தன் சிலுவையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, என்னைப் பின்பற்றி வரவேண்டும்.
35 For whoever will save his life, shall lose it; but whoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
௩௫தன் வாழ்வைக் காப்பாற்றிக்கொள்ள விரும்புகிறவன் அதை இழந்துபோவான், எனக்காகவும், நற்செய்திக்காகவும் தன் வாழ்வை இழந்துபோகிறவன் அதைக் காப்பாற்றிக்கொள்ளுவான்.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul:
௩௬மனிதன் உலகம் முழுவதையும் சம்பாதித்துக்கொண்டாலும், தன் ஆத்துமாவை நஷ்டப்படுத்தினால் அவனுக்கு லாபம் என்ன?
37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
௩௭மனிதன் தன் ஆத்துமாவிற்கு பதிலாக எதைக் கொடுப்பான்?
38 Whoever therefore shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also will the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
௩௮எனவே விபசாரமும் பாவமும் உள்ள இந்தச் சந்ததியில் என்னைக்குறித்தும் என் வார்த்தைகளைக்குறித்தும் எவன் வெட்கப்படுகிறானோ, அவனைக்குறித்து மனிதகுமாரனும் தமது பிதாவின் மகிமையில் பரிசுத்த தூதர்களோடு வரும்போது வெட்கப்படுவார் என்றார்.
