Mark 5
1 And they came over to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
I przeprawili się za morze do krainy Gadareńczyków.
2 And when he had come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
A gdy on wyszedł z łodzi, zaraz wybiegł mu [naprzeciw] z grobowców człowiek mający ducha nieczystego.
3 Who had [his] dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
Mieszkał on w grobowcach i nawet łańcuchami nikt nie mógł go związać.
4 For he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any [man] tame him.
Często bowiem był wiązany pętami i łańcuchami, ale rwał łańcuchy i kruszył pęta, i nikt nie mógł go poskromić.
5 And always, night and day, he was on the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
A zawsze, we dnie i w nocy, przebywał w górach i grobowcach, krzycząc i tłukąc siebie kamieniami.
6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshiped him,
Gdy więc zobaczył Jezusa z daleka, przybiegł i oddał mu pokłon;
7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, [thou] Son of the Most High God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
A wołając donośnym głosem, powiedział: Cóż mam z tobą, Jezusie, Synu Boga najwyższego? Zaklinam cię na Boga, abyś mnie nie dręczył.
8 (For he said to him, Come out of the man, [thou] unclean spirit.)
Powiedział mu bowiem: Wyjdź, duchu nieczysty, z tego człowieka!
9 And he asked him, What [is] thy name? And he answered, saying, My name [is] Legion: for we are many.
I zapytał go: Jak ci na imię? A on odpowiedział: Na imię mi Legion, bo jest nas wielu.
10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
I prosił go bardzo, aby nie wyganiał ich z tej krainy.
11 Now there was there nigh to the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
A pasło się tam w pobliżu góry wielkie stado świń.
12 And all the demons besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
I wszystkie te demony prosiły go: Poślij nas w te świnie, abyśmy [mogły] w nie wejść.
13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea (they were about two thousand) and were choked in the sea.
I Jezus zaraz im pozwolił. A duchy nieczyste, wyszedłszy, weszły w świnie. Wtedy stado, liczące około dwóch tysięcy, ruszyło pędem po urwisku do morza i utonęło w nim.
14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told [it] in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
Ci zaś, którzy paśli świnie, uciekli i opowiedzieli [o tym] w mieście i we wsiach. I wyszli [ludzie], aby zobaczyć, co się stało.
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the demon, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
Przyszli więc do Jezusa i zobaczyli tego, który był opętany, w którym był legion [demonów], jak siedział ubrany i przy zdrowych zmysłach. I bali się.
16 And they that saw [it] told them how it befell him that was possessed with the demon, and [also] concerning the swine.
A ci, którzy to widzieli, opowiedzieli im, co się stało z opętanym, a [także] o świniach.
17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their borders.
Wtedy zaczęli go prosić, aby odszedł z ich granic.
18 And when he had come into the boat, he that had been possessed with the demon prayed him that he might be with him.
A gdy wsiadł do łodzi, prosił go ten, który był opętany, aby [mógł] przy nim zostać.
19 Yet Jesus suffered him not, but saith to him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
Lecz Jezus mu nie pozwolił, ale powiedział: Idź do domu, do swoich, i opowiedz im, jak wielkie rzeczy Pan ci uczynił i jak się nad tobą zmiłował.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him. And all [men] wondered.
Odszedł więc i zaczął w Dekapolu opowiadać, jak wielkie rzeczy Jezus mu uczynił. I wszyscy się dziwili.
21 And when Jesus had passed over again in a boat to the other side, much people gathered to him: and he was nigh to the sea.
A gdy Jezus przeprawił się z powrotem w łodzi na drugą stronę, zebrało się wokół niego mnóstwo ludzi. A [on] był nad morzem.
22 And behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
Wtedy przyszedł jeden z przełożonych synagogi, imieniem Jair, a gdy go zobaczył, padł mu do nóg.
23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: [I pray thee], come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she will live.
I prosił go usilnie: Moja córeczka umiera. Przyjdź, połóż na nią ręce, aby została uzdrowiona, a będzie żyła.
24 And [Jesus] went with him; and many people followed him, and thronged him.
I poszedł z nim. Szło zaś za nim mnóstwo ludzi, którzy na niego napierali.
25 And a certain woman who had an issue of blood twelve years,
Wtedy pewna kobieta, która od dwunastu lat cierpiała na upływ krwi;
26 And had suffered many things from many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was not relieved, but rather grew worse,
I wiele wycierpiała od licznych lekarzy, i wydała wszystko, co miała, a nic jej nie pomogło, przeciwnie, pogarszało jej się;
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.
Usłyszawszy o Jezusie, podeszła w tłumie od tyłu i dotknęła jego szaty.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
Mówiła bowiem: Jeśli dotknę choćby jego szaty, będę zdrowa.
29 And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in [her] body that she was healed of that infirmity.
I natychmiast ustał jej upływ krwi, i poczuła w ciele, że została uzdrowiona ze swojej choroby.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the throng, and said, Who touched my clothes?
A Jezus od razu poznał, że wyszła z niego moc, odwrócił się do tłumu i zapytał: Kto dotknął moich szat?
31 And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
Odpowiedzieli mu jego uczniowie: Widzisz, że tłum na ciebie napiera, a pytasz: Kto mnie dotknął?
32 And he looked around, to see her that had done this thing.
I spojrzał wokoło, aby zobaczyć tę, która to uczyniła.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
Wtedy kobieta ze strachem i z drżeniem, wiedząc, co się z nią stało, podeszła, upadła przed nim i wyznała mu całą prawdę.
34 And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be healed of thy infirmity.
A on powiedział do niej: Córko, twoja wiara cię uzdrowiła, idź w pokoju i bądź uzdrowiona ze swojej choroby.
35 While he was yet speaking, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's [house certain] who said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
A gdy jeszcze mówił, przyszli ludzie od przełożonego synagogi i powiedzieli: Twoja córka umarła. Czemu jeszcze trudzisz Nauczyciela?
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith to the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe,
Ale Jezus, gdy tylko usłyszał, co mówili, powiedział do przełożonego synagogi: Nie bój się, tylko wierz!
37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
I nie pozwolił iść za sobą nikomu oprócz Piotra, Jakuba i Jana, brata Jakuba.
38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
A gdy przyszedł do domu przełożonego synagogi, zobaczył [tam] zamieszanie oraz płaczących i bardzo zawodzących.
39 And when he had come in, he saith to them, Why make ye this tumult, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
Wszedłszy więc, powiedział do nich: Dlaczego robicie zamieszanie i płaczecie? Dziewczynka nie umarła, tylko śpi.
40 And they derided him: but when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
I naśmiewali się z niego. Ale on wyrzucił wszystkich, wziął ze sobą ojca i matkę dziewczynki oraz tych, którzy przy nim byli, i wszedł tam, gdzie leżała dziewczynka.
41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said to her, Talitha cumi: which is, being interpreted, Damsel (I say to thee) arise.
Ujął dziewczynkę za rękę i powiedział do niej: Talitha kumi! – co się tłumaczy: Dziewczynko, mówię ci, wstań!
42 And forthwith the damsel arose, and walked; for she was [of the age] of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
I natychmiast dziewczynka wstała i chodziła, miała bowiem dwanaście lat. I ogarnęło ich wielkie zdumienie.
43 And he charged them strictly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
Wtedy przykazał im surowo, aby nikt się o tym nie dowiedział, i polecił, aby dano jej jeść.
